- Jackie drives a white Honda Civic, the same
exact car that Butch drives in Pulp Fiction.
- At one point, Bridget Fonda is watching
the movie "Crazy Mary, Dirty Larry"
which stars her father Peter Fonda. At another
point Melanie is watching a movie with Helmut
Berger, who was in "Ash Wednesday"
with Bridget Fonda's grandfather Henry Fonda,
and was in "The Godfather, Part 3"
with Bridget herself.
- One of the scenes in the film takes place
in the Del Amo Mall - the place where Quentin
Tarantino worked before Video Archives.
- Quentin reportedly crouched down in the
back seat to direct during certain driving
scenes.
- Although Quentin Tarantino has appeared
in all three of his prior directing efforts,
"Pulp Fiction", "Reservoir Dogs", and a segment of
"Four Rooms", he does not appear
in Jackie Brown. Only his voice does: Quentin
Tarantino provides the computerized voice
for Jackie's answering machine. The one that
says "You have one message. Sent at 8:06
P.M."
- Jackie Brown is the name of a criminal character
in a 1973 gangland novel entitled 'The Friends
of Eddie Coyle' by George V. Higgins, a crime
novelist whose work is greatly appreciated
by Elmore Leonard.
- Pam Grier also has a link to Pulp Fiction:
she tried out for the part of Jody - "The
one with all the shit in her face?"
- Quentin held a skirt day on the set during
filming. Everyone on the crew showed up wearing
a skirt, including QT, who wore a catholic
school girl outfit.
- One scene in Jackie Brown is set in a food
court of a mall. Quentin changed the name
of the restaurant from "Tokyo Diner"
to "Teriyaki Donut", a reference
to the donut shop Marcellus goes to in Pulp
Fiction.
- The suit that Jackie buys is the same that
Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) wears in Pulp Fiction.
- Actress Mira Sorvino (daughter of Paul Sorvino),
who at the time was dating director Quentin
Tarantino, can be seen out-of-focus in the
back of the courtroom at Jackie's arraignment.
- Michael Keaton plays Ray Nicolette in both
Jackie Brown and Out of Sight. There is no
connection between the films other than the
fact that Elmore Leneord wrote the novels
on which the films are based. - Sarah
- Evidently, Pam Grier had a great audition
for the part of Jody, but Tarantino didn't
give her the part because he couldn't believe
that she would get pushed around the way the
character does. (Source: Internet Movie Database)

- In one scene, Max Cherry leaves a cinema
and we hear the ending music inside. This
is the same music in the closing credits.

- While writing the script from the novel
Rum Punch, Tarantino missed the part where
