Debated Goofs - Commented Goofs - Corrected Goofs - Explained Goofs

  • During the limo speed test a hub cap falls off then it falls off again then when the limo pulls up in front of Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore the wheel caps are back on. - Ash
  • After Adam Sandler is beat up he is found in the dumpster by Drew Barrymore. There is a round piece of plastic on his right shoulder/chest. The next shot it's on his left side. The very next shot it's back to his right shoulder. - Jim Spencer
  • During the scene when Robbie (Adam Sandler) is talking to Julia (Drew Barrymore) about her dancing with the ten year old boy, he rolls a cord all the way up. Then it cuts to Julia, and when it goes back to him rerolls the cord all the way up again. - WSC
  • When Robbie and Julia are on the plane, on the inside it looks like a 747 because there is a flight of stairs leading to the upper deck but on the outside it shows a smaller plane with only two engines and no upper deck. (DVD) - Yatmandu
  • There is a scene in which Robbie is helping Rosie practice her singing for her 50th anniversary party. The scene starts by showing pictures on the wall of Rosie's house. There is an old wedding picture with handwriting in the lower right-hand corner that says "Wedding 1948". If Rosie's 50'th anniversary was in 1985 (the year the movie is based on), her wedding should have been in 1935, not 1948, which was written on the picture. (DVD)
  • Canadian Airlines did not exist in 1985. - Daria
  • When Robbie is singing "Love Stinks" with the fat guy at the table, if you notice, the fat guy is wearing a wedding ring! Funny since he is never suppose to find love! haha. - Smalls
  • (Continuity) When Robbie is singing to Julia at the end of the movie, you can see a woman in the background standing watching, but when it cuts back, she is sitting, and when it cuts back again, she is standing again! - Tazlion

Corrected Goofs

  • When they are tasting cake and Adam Sandler has the plate there are two pieces left he take on and feeds it to George if you look at the plate its empty then when it goes back there is one piece. - Ash
    • Correction: When they are tasting the cake, Adam Sandler doesn't feed the cake to George. It is just someone who works in the bakery. - jimmy
  • (Anachronisms) In one scene Glen brings in a CD player. However CD players did not exist in 1985. - Kim

Explained Goofs

  • Robbie goes to baby-sit for his nephews, he rings the bell. The door opens, and you hear the kids say, uncle Robbie is here. Robbie lives in their basement. It's a little strange that he went around to the front of the house to ring the bell. - kards123
    • Explanation: Adam most likely uses the front door instead of the door connecting the basement to the house in order to maintain a sense of separateness between the two dwellings. He just doesn't want to intrude on his sister's family when it may be inconvenient. - Mel
