Debated Goofs - Commented Goofs - Corrected Goofs - Explained Goofs

  • When Annie is talking to Peter on the two way radios, when she is trapped in the gulley and he is camped up waiting for daybreak, you can hear Annie speaking to Peter as if she is standing right next to him at approximately 1hr34mins4secs for about 2mins then they realise the goof. - Frank
  • When they are going to pick up the old guy at the mountain, you can easily see marks from the helicopter, before it lands. (From earlier shoot, forgot to even snow I guess....) - Mets9999
  • When climbing the actors all wear mirror shades so you can see the entire camera crew. Its pretty funny!!! - innocense
  • Can anybody tell me how a boot covered in nitroglycerin and one can of nitroglycerin can create HUGE explosions, but a shack filled with nitroglycerin just makes a little explosion that takes out the shack and a little bit of a small building? (DVD) - heavenly sax
  • When Monique is dropped off by the helicopter, a sleeve of her jacket is shredded by the helicopter blades. However, for the remainder of the film, her jacket is perfectly fine. (DVD) - heavenly sax
  • Okay, there are people trapped underground with snow covering all escapes. This should mean that there is no way for any sunlight to come in! So how the heck can we see them and them see each other! It should be pitch black whether it's day or night! (DVD) - heavenly sax

Corrected Goofs

  • The syringes that the trapped people use contain dexamethasone, or "dex" as they call it. Just one problem... dexamethasone is for brain adema, not pulmonary adema! (DVD) - heavenly sax
    • Correction: Although dex is a corticosteroid used mainly for cerebral ademas it has many other applications including the one seen in the movie commonly called acute mountain sickness or high altitude disease. - Speessoo
  • At the beginning of the movie, Peter zips up a tent before getting in the chopper to go to base camp. Then the camera pans over to a magazine that half open inside the tent. The magazine is supposedly blown shut by the rotor blades on the chopper. That's gotta be one cheap tent if a magazine can be blown around inside the tent from OUTSIDE the tent! (DVD) - heavenly sax
    • Correction: In the sceen where the helicoptor fly over Peter's tent and the magazine flips shut, it is not a cheap tent, the force of the wind from the copter is very strong, have you ever stood under a helicopter? (DVD) - Star
