• When the deer is done wrecking the car, you see that the car's top (or frame of the car) is totally fallen down. Well in the next scene you see that the frame is fine but the cloth part is destroyed. - BB

• When the roof fly's up, you would be able to see the can of oil, buy you can't. - BB

• When Richard and Tommy are in the hotel room talking about pizza, you can see the clock says 12:01 and then 12:02. After Tommy comes in catching Richard looking at the girl at the pool, you can see that the clock says 12:22. All that wouldn't have happened in a 20 minute time period. - BB

• When <blank's> hair piece is blown away or off, it is all the way up. In one second his hair is up, the next is half way down, and then finally it is normal looking. How could it look normal after him touching it only once? - BB

• All through the movie Tommy is referred as Thomas Callahan III. But in the second to last scene, at the rally thingy, the guy says Tommy Callahan Jr.!!!! - Road Dogg

• A bit of a funny goof -- when Chris Farley's dad calls him up to the stage to sing with him they show a shot of Chris Farley sitting at the table and he says "I better not" when he says that you can see that right next to him is his real life brother, who plays Doug on the TV show "Together." Now either Chris' brother is somehow related to Chris in the movie or he got invited by Chris as a guest, or he just loves Chris so much he cant be away from him.

• In the scene where the door is messed up at the gas station you can clearly see that the door is dented but when Richard comes to his car all he sees is a scratch so either Tommy got the dent out or it dented hmmmmm? - nick

• When Tommy is in the sail boat talking to Michelle. The camera goes to Michelle and when it comes back Tommy is wearing a different lifejacket. Then is goes back to Michelle, when it goes back to Tommy his lifejacket is back to the original one he was first wearing. - Chad

• The huge bruise on Tommy's face, from the board hitting him, disappears in less than a day. (DVD) - nick

• In the scene where Tommy is changing in the airplane bathroom and he gets his tie stuck in the toilet, he starts pulling his tie out and his body is lunging toward the mirror. But when he gets it free, he breaks through the door, almost impossible for him to do at that angle! (VHS) - DoubleJ

• Just something to think about: If Richard's car had Callahan brake pads on it, wouldn't he be able to stop before hitting the deer? Maybe he was using the "Other guys brake pads." (VHS) - DoubleJ

• In the scene on the lake where Tommy is talking to Michelle in his dingy and the three "skinny punks" are harassing Tommy... Tommy rocks the boat and Michelle grabs the sides of the boat. The camera immediately goes back to Michelle and her hands are in her lap. - Kyle J.

• In the scene where Richard is watching the naked lady swimming he says "speaking of nobody's looking" and you here a zipper going down. But he couldn't zip anything down because he is not wearing boxers. - Swanny

• (Continuity) In all scenes involving driving in Richards car watch for the disappearing/reappearing rear view mirror. - RobY

• (Continuity) When Tommy is trying to explain how their brake pads are better than the "other guy's" brake pads and he smashes the toy car then sets it on fire watch for the disappearing/reappearing front axle and wheels. Also the front wheel on the blue car is on then its off then its on again. - RobY

• (Continuity) The first car scene after the "puppet show" the car seems to go into a time warp. After several meetings that day (so it could not be morning), in the first cut it is obviously very late in the afternoon judging by the length of the shadows, yet in the very next cut it is earlier in the afternoon. - RobY

• (Continuity) Later while Tommy is checking the oil at the gas station watch for the guy running by, he makes it almost all the way across the street but in the next cut he runs by again. Maybe he should have been in “Ground Hog Day” instead. Also the shadow on the red car changes, in the first cut it is early in the afternoon then in the next cut it’s much later in the afternoon also the buildings are no longer in shadow. - RobY

• (Misc.) When in the Deer Glen motel, watch the ghost in the white shirt behind Richard when he sits on the couch. This can't be Tommy because this person is wearing a light colored shirt over his torso not the dark green shirt covered with yellow shirt that Tommy is wearing. - RobY

• (Continuity) After the motel, watch the speed differences between the side shots and the wide shots while they are driving to the next town. - RobY

• (Crew/equipment visible) When Paul arrives on the bus watch for the camera reflection in the very corner of the windshield the camera man has a red shirt on. After that watch the bus driver blatantly wait on his queue to close the door and drive off. - RobY

• (Continuity) While in the diner where Richard and Tommy are talking and Tommy first starts explaining his "pretty new pet" watch for the disappearing/reappearing people at the table over Tommy’s shoulder. - RobY

Corrected Goofs

• While Tommy and Richard are spinning in the car, if u pause it when the camera looks at the steering wheel it says they are going 5 mph when they clearly aren't!!!! - Road Dogg
  • Correction: A car speedometer judges the speed by how fast the tires are spinning (if you don't believe me then put your car up on a jack and put it in drive and floor it and watch the speedometer go up). So even though the car is spinning and going forward and a fast speed I'm sure Tommy wouldn't continue to hold the gas to the floor, so therefore the tires would still spin but spin slower at that speed of 5mph. - Dickle

• In the Hotel Room scene when Tommy leaves the door closes on its own. - munkey
  • Correction: The goof that the door closes by itself isn't true. I thought that too once but I slowed it down it clearly shows he does it. As you can tell I like that movie. - Road Dogg
  • Correction: Hotel Room doors are set to close by themselves anyway you dumb pricks. - Dickle

• Michelle talks about "flying home" to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, a town without an airport only an hour's drive away.
  • Correction: The goof above says Michelle is flying home to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.. But earlier she stated she is from Cuyahoga Falls, Minnesota - which does have an airport. - Sceva
