- When Donkey faints after Princess Fiona
pulls the arrow out of Shrek's butt, you see
yellow leaves pop up into the air, but when
Shrek picks Donkey up and puts him on his
shoulder there are no yellow leaves to be
seen. - Floyddog
- When Shrek and Donkey are crossing the bridge
and one of the wood pieces breaks when Donkey
steps on it, it splits in half but when they
show it falling it is whole. - dot
- Lord Farquaad throws the gingerbread man's
leg to the side of its head, but in the next
scene the leg is not there. (DVD) - Bonydia
- Right after the Robin Hood fight scene,
even when Shrek turns sideways, he doesn't
have an arrow in him until that certain moment.
(VHS) - jcwils
- At the end of the movie when they are singing
I'm a Beliver one of the elfs behind Donkey
is playing a guitar that is not there it then
appears after the book closes. (DVD) - Tim
- In the movie, Shrek and Fiona blow up balloons
and let them go, the problem is, balloons
don't fly when they are filled with oxygen.
- Hikari
- If those are the same 3 blind mice from
the song, shouldn't they have their tails
severed? You know, cut off with a carving
knife? - Cren
- (Plot holes) Shrek and Donkey keeps talking
about how little Farquadd is but they have
actually never seen him in full. Only when
Shrek accepts to find Fiona, but then he is
standing far away, up high behind a wall,
so there would be no way they could know that
he is very small. (DVD) - Søren
Pingel Dalsgaard
Corrected
Goofs
- When the characters are singing "I'm
a Believer" in the end, you see the fairy
godmother turn the 3 blind mice into horses
with a carriage for Shrek and Fiona. Then
a few minutes later you see the same blind
mice dancing on the piano keyboard. - moviefan
- Correction:
The fairy godmother turns the onion (which
is next to the 3 blind mice) into the
carriage, not the mice. - bamakitty
- Correction:
Actually, if you watch it again, when
the Godmother turns the onion in the
carriage, she's also turning one of
the mice into the driver. So, showing
the 3 blind mice at the end is incorrect.
- meme603
- Before Shrek shakes the princess to wake
her up he has gloves on, but when his hands
are on the princess shoulders, he doesn't
have gloves on. (I could have gotten it mixed
around). - David
- Correction:
David - Shrek had fingerless gloves on,
so I believe it just looked as if he didn't
have any on. I could be wrong, though.
;o) (VHS) - Lydia
- In the scene where Farquadd breaks off both
of the Gingerbread man's legs off and at the
end you see the Gingerbread man with one good
leg. - momo
- Explanation:
Momo, when it shows Farquadd, he throws
one of the legs at the Gingerbread man
and crushes the other one... that is why
the Gingerbread man has only one of his
legs stitched back up. (DVD) - rsable
- Correction:
The leg has been fixed. If you look
closely you can see that it is still
cracked off from the rest of the Gingerbreadman's
body, but is being held on by three
vertical stripes of frosting acting
as bandages. - rick
- Robin Hood, a traditionally English folk
hero, speaks with a French accent. - rick
- Correction:
It wasn't Robin Hood in the movie, rather
Monseiur Hood - thus the French accent
would be correct. Small bit of info -
the voice is of Vincent Cassel, a well
known French actor. - Lilija
- Explanation:
That was the whole point; it made fun
of Robin Hood. - Cren
Explained
Goofs
- At the very beginning of the movie, Shrek
is using the out house. Right before he exits,
you hear a flushing sound. That's some fancy
out house - running water and everything!
(DVD) - dribble
- Explanation:
This is not a blooper - it was intended
to be a joke. Lighten up. - Ignite
- In the scene where Donkey and Shrek first
meet Donkey (Eddie) says "your a mean
green fighting machine" and later when
he looks for the flowers he says (this would
be so much easier if I weren't color blind)
so if he's color blind how did he know Shrek
was green. - jeff
- Explanation:
Being colorblind does not specifically
mean you cannot see all colors. You could
see red as a brownish color but see green
perfectly well. - Ignite
- When the guard is pouring the milk in the
cup, to dip the gingerbread man in. The container
has a picture of a bull instead of a cow.
which would make it bulls milk. (gross). (DVD)
- Tim
- Explanation:
The visuals in Shrek are mostly to exhibit
satire. The use of a bull's head for milk
is the joke. Everyone knows a bull does
give milk, but the animators put it in
as a joke. It's just like the small alterations
to the Fairy Tale characters. Because
then you should ask the question, "Why
is Gepetto selling Pinocchio?" It's
one of the gags they're placing in the
movies. - Inner
City Blues
- When Shrek takes the wax out of his ear,
he lights it, but where does the wick come
from? - Hikari
- Explanation:
Well, think about it now, what else comes
out of ears besides wax? Apparently he
also pulled out an ear hair that happened
to be in the middle of the wax, making
the wick. - Alli
- Explanation:
The wick is the cotton swab Shrek uses
to clean his ear. - SweetOrange
