• At Stu's party, just after Neve and Skeet have finished with a little raw footage in the bedroom, the killer comes in and stabs Skeet. The knife is clean, then he wipes the CLEAN knife and suddenly it is covered in blood. hmmmmmmm. - Cookie

• In the final kitchen scene where Sydney's father is tied up and pushed over, the voice distorter and cell phone are placed in his pocket with the distorter almost falling out. In the next shot, the cell phone and distorter are in a reversed order and the distorter is tucked all the way into the pocket. - kjs

• When Gail is backing away in the newsvan, she stops suddenly, and the cameraman's dead body slides forward over the windscreen. According to the laws of physics, the body would have slid backwards over the back of the van. - Kouros

• Near the end of the movie, syd is holding the gun on <blank> and <blank>, they are trying to convince her that the other one is the killer. She should know its not one of them, since she saw the killer standing over him when she was in the newsvan. - Brandy

• Why is it that the very first preview shown in the original scream video is for scream 2. In this they are revealing what characters survived and obviously the ones not shown were killed off. It totally kills the viewers anticipation during the movie. However I love the movie! - luvinbrdy

• In Scream the killers are obviously people that Sidney knows in her every day life. Throughout the movie it will be noted that the killer takes a lot of abuse. Bottles thrown at him, punches, trips, falls, and yet you never see any bruises or injuries on him without the costume on. - Andyman

• In the scene where Drew Barrymore is talking to the killer when he has just rang the doorbell, if you look out the window, you can clearly see that her boyfriend is out there talking to the killer. What were they thinking? - Malorie

• The kids at the party are watching the first Halloween. They start watching the movie sometime before the curfew, which is 9:00 p.m. During all the slashings and killings, we see glimpses of the movie Halloween. The scenes are out of order. Also, when Stu and Billy have Sydney in the kitchen, it's midnight, and the movie is still going. Halloween is not a three hour movie, and I don't believe anybody stopped it. - Malorie

• In the scene when Randy is explainig the horror rules, whilst watching Halloween, his speech goes like this: Randy- "Only virgins can do that, don't you know the rules." An extra- "What rules?" Randy-"You don't ( pause ) jesus christ you don't know the rules (in a supprised tone)" Stu- "Have an anurism why don't you." Randy- "There are certain RULES that one must abide by to successfully survive a horror movie." then, a couple off scenes later, Gail and Kenny are watching the re-run of events that have already happened (because it's on a time delay) As they watch Randy, his speech changes to this: Randy- "Only virgins can outsmart the killers in a big chase scene, don't you know the rules." • In the scene where Sydney and Tatum are walking up the stairs talking about <blanks> death if you look real closely on the bottom left hand corner of the screen on the railing you can see a boom shadow. - Kim

• When Billy climbs into Sid's room at the beginning of the movie after a while he leaves, when you see him going out the window you can see that he walks off to the left like he was on the ground but the window was on the second story which proves that the house they used for the set was only one story and not the whole house. - zach

• At the end when Stu is sitting in the chair blending and Sid is hiding, when Billy takes the phone from Stu and then throws it at him it falls on the floor, and then the camera changes to Billy them back to Stu and then Stu picks up the phone from the counter and instead of off the floor. - Lisa

• In the end when Sid's dad jumps out of the closet and says randy give me a hand and when randy goes to sit down he lifts his hand up and he has a wedding ring on . ( I did know he was married in that movie!!!) :) - Lisa

• (Audio/visual unsynchronised) When (Blank) has just been stabbed and walks out the front door, Sid's motion in her lips say "no!" but what she yells out is the persons name. - Lisa

• It's not really a mistake but after you watch the movie a few times and if you listen to the killers grunts and moans you can tell who the killer is but you got to know the killers voice really well to figure it out. - Lisa

Commented Goofs

• When Tatum goes into the garage to get the beers the garage door is definitely closed. She flicks the switch and you hear the garage door opening. However, when the killer comes in she has to open it AGAIN because it is apparently closed. - Cookie
  • Comment: When someone said that when Tatum was getting the drinks for the party and she opened the garage door and then when the killer came in it was closed, well, the killer closed it. You can hear him and it shows the garage door going down because that's when Tatum turned around and saw the killer for the first time. - stefi
  • Comment: You would think that if you watch the full format. However, on widescreen, when tatum goes into the garage to get the beers you see her open and close the garage door. She goes to the fridge, goes to the door, it's locked, she opens the garage door, but it stops halfway, she turns around, ghostface is there...you know the rest. - StevieB

• Maybe this is a goof or maybe this isnt, but of well...In the opening scene when <blank> locks the front door when the killer threatens her. But when her parents come home they walk right through the front door with it being unlocked hmm... but maybe that wasnt a goof because there might have been 2 killers and one could have gotten into the house and unlocked the door for the other killer to get inside..I dont know what do u think? - Johnny
  • Comment: Johnny, I think that when <blank's> in the kitchen and you see the killer for the very first time run acrros, I think he opens the door to check if Casey's run outside. Just thought you might like to know what I thought since you asked. - Jesus

• I don't know if this is considered a spoiler or not. Anyway, When Billy wasn't really stabbed in the bedroom scene, there for the killer had to wipe the blood ON TO the knife to make it look like he was really stabbed. If you watch carefully you can see that the killer tries to do it out of sight from Sid. Then, a moment later he wipes the fake blood off the knife so Sid can see it. - Brigee
  • Comment: reference to the supposed goof where, after Billy has been stabbed just after Sid and him have had sex, an apparently clean knife suddenly has blood on it. This is because when ghost face is seen wiping the knife he/she is putting blood on the knife not wiping it clean. Sid is not meant to see this happen. Instead she sees ghost face wipe the 'blood' off the knife. If you have seen the end of the film you will understand why. - myers

• In the scene where the killer asked Casey who the killer was in Friday the 13th she said it was Jason and he said wrong answer. However the killer was right and she was wrong. Mrs. Vorees was the killer in the first one and Jason wasn't until the sequel. (DVD/VHS) - Raymond

• The killers reveal their plan at midnight, and Sidney kills them 10-20 minutes later. When we see the cops arrive it is dawn, so why did it take them 6 hours to arrive? - The Big J

• You know when Tatum and Syd are on the porch then they go in the house, The scream "ghost" is running through the woods. It also does it when they are in the grocery store, you can see the "ghost's" reflection in the kooler door. I think this is unprofessional, because someone would see the killer in the costume. Plus the killer doesn't even attempt to kill them then. - TommyLee
  • Correction: This is to the guy that says it is unprofessional to let "ghostface" be seen in the reflections.He didn't kill them in the store because it was way too public.The reason nobody in the store said anything about the costume was because people were wearing them all over town.So they probably didn't think anything of it. • When the killer reveals himself by speaking into the voice changer, he sounds nothing like the voice on the phone. - The Big J

• When Gail Weathers tries to shoot Billie Loomis he hits her unconscious and says "u forgot the safety", however later when she does shoot him she says "Guess i remembered the safety that time, bastard" but if she was unconscious how could she of heard him? (Hint: Notice the fact that at Stu's house the film "Clerks" (written by Kevin Smith) is on top of the video player, and in the 3rd one Jay and Silent Bob (in all Kevin Smith films, Silent Bob being Kevin Smith) are in it.
