In Martin Parker's True Tale of c1632 the date of the death of Robin Hood was given as 18th. November, 1247, but he has also been placed in a later century. I wonder in what century this movie is supposed to take place. Either the use of the inventions are goofs or they aren't, it depends on when the movie takes place.

  • Azeem uses powder 171 years before Marco Polo even went to China.
  • The "fuck" word is used hundreds of years before it was known.
    • Info: The word "fuck" dates back to 1503 according to WWWebster Dictionary. Similar goof in Braveheart.
  • The telescope is also used hundreds of years before it was invented.
    • Info: The telescope was invented in 1608.
  • The Sheriff of Nottingham has a mole on his face that moves around.
  • The Sheriff asks his maids to see him tonight, one at 10:00, the other at 10:15. In the 12th century, they didn't have clocks.
  • When Azeem and Duncan are trying to break into Marian's house Duncan says "Point me toward danger Azeem, I'm ready" but his mouth is completely shut the whole time. - Threefoldcord
  • In the scene where Robin and Azeem are catapulted over the wall, Azeem's sword keeps switching back and forth. He has it pointed down then up then down again. - Hornsfan
  • The sheriff used the term "turncoat" when referring to Will Scarlet. This term originated in the Revolutionary War. - Reddfoxx
  • The term "hired thugs" originated in India several hundred years later after they were colonized referring to the cult of Kali called Thugees. - Reddfoxx
  • When Robin swears on his father's grave he cuts his hand and squeezes his fist so that the blood oozes between his fingers -- but it is gone in the next shot.
  • This one is kind of obvious and characteristic of Kevin Costner - His accent disappears throughout the movie. Go Kevin! - Stevo
  • (Continuity) When Guy of Gisborn makes his first appearance, the film is reversed, showing his earring on the right ear, and his scarred cheek on the left. Changes to right way around during the same sequence. - LadyG
  • (Continuity) In the beginning of the movie, Robin is trying to free his friends. Azeem says to him "you cannot free them christian, but you can free me." During this shot, he is holding his hands crossed, then yells "christian!" with his hands apart, but the next shot his hands are together as if they were there the whole time. - Don Jackson
  • (Continuity) When Robin and Azeem land at Dover, after the unsuccessful kidnapping attempt on Azeem, Robin says "Come Azeem" and raises his left hand. As Azeem reaches out and the camera switches, Robin is being pulled up by his right hand. - Captain Jester
  • (Continuity) When Robin and company are fleeing Marian's home, as Robins horse runs out of the gate, it is hit on the left rear with a crossbow bolt. When they are being chased, they pause to look back and decide what to do. Robin reaches down on the right side of the horse and breaks the bolt off. - Captain Jester
