- Vivian Ward removes Edward Lewis' tie when
they are in the hotel bedroom. A reaction
shot shows that he's still wearing the tie,
then it's gone again.
- In a breakfast scene, Roberts picks up a
croissant, but when she raises it to her mouth
and takes a bite it's a pancake.
- In the scene where Vivian and Edward are
at dinner with the guy whose company Edward
wants to buy and his grandson, watch the dessert
things carefully... - Courteney
- In the breakfast scene Vivian is eating
a pancake, she takes one bite from pancake
then another bite which makes two. Then in
the next scene there is only one bite from
the pancake again. - LS
- When they are at the restaurant, Edward
tells Vivian that she would be getting a salad
at the end of the meal. Well, in the director's
cut, Vivian is served a plain beef patty.
She pulls sachets of ketchup out of her handbag
to put on the meat. Edward explains to the
waiter that it is ketchup and then says 'check
please'. Check please is said at the end of
the meal. So the serving of the beef patty
obviously meant the end of the meal.... there
was no salad, so what was Edward going on
about earlier? (Version: Director's Cut) -
Claire
- In the movie after Vivian goes on her first
shopping spree and returns to the hotel, if
you look closely when she walks in her purse
is under one arm and then when they show her
from the front its on the other side.. Picky,
Picky. (VHS) - happyday
Commented
Goofs
- When Edward (Gere) shows Vivian (Roberts)
the diamond necklace, he slams the lid on
her fingers, I heard that he did that on purpose
and the director kept it in the movie. You
can see Vivian (Roberts) looking at the crew
men and laughing (for real). - Erika
Philpot
- Comment: If
you really watch this scene, Vivian doesn't
really 'look' at the crew, she just looks
away from Edward because she was startled
& laughs. - Melanie Andrews
Corrected
Goofs
- As they picnic under a tree she removes
Gere's shoes, but in the next shot they're
back on again.
- Correction:
This particular scene is cutting from
action to action. Yes, the shoes come
off, but the next shot is another action,
it's not continuous. - Melanie Andrews
- Vivian Ward is once accidentally called
"Julia".
- Correction:
When do they call her Julia? I've never
heard that in the movie. - Ashley
- Correction:
When it is said that Vivian is once called
Julia during the movie, they are referring
to when she is at the opera. It was said
that the worker leaving the box calls
her Julia, but in fact, if you listen
carefully he says "Enjoy the show".
- Ever
- Correction:
Actually, after the attendant seats
them he asks "Is there is anything
else, sir" Richard (Gere) replies
"No, thank you" and the
attendant then says "Your glasses
are there, enjoy the opera" He
does not say enjoy the show. The J
in enjoy and the A in opera do make
it sound like he says Julia, but in
fact he does not. (VHS) - Jess
