- At one point in the movie, Terry Benedict
(Andy Garcia) has his assistant Mr. Walsh
escort Frank Catton (Bernie Mac) from one
part of the casino but Mr. Walsh is immediately
seen with Lyman Zelger (Carl Reiner) in the
next scene in another part of the casino.

- When Matt Damon is telling Brad Pitt about
Andy Garcia's shedule you see Brad Pitt holding
bowl of shrimp, then a plate of shrimp, then
the bowl again, it's not really a big deal,
but I thought it was odd. (DVD/Theatre) -

- A scene later in the movie where the SWAT
team comes down the elevator shaft, all six
team members drop together and land at the
bottom of the shaft together. In a later scene
depicting the same events one member is taking
way too much time dropping. - Spiffiness
- When they are recruiting members of their
team and they are interested about bringing
Basher on. Pitt says to Clooney that "there
may be an issue with [Basher's] availability."
One could assume the reasoning for this comment
is that Basher is behind bars, but he is pulling
a robbery in the next scene -- and eventually
meets Pitt. - Spiffiness
- When all the S.W.A.T. team members (who
are really the main characters) walk out in
the S.W.A.T. team clothes, Brad Pitt is carrying
two bags but he moves the visor up with his
left hand so he can wipe his face. - dot
- When is Hollywood going to find a US actor
that can do a passable London accent ? Don
Cheadle's accent traveled all over London
during this film and the rhyming slang lines
made me squirm. Every time he opened his mouth
I thought, why don't they get an English actor.
It may sound OK to you guys in the US, but
to us in UK it sounds hilarious. Oh yes, I
was forgetting Renee Zellweger in Bridget
Jones's Diary. Her accent was pretty good.

- (Plot holes) When the team knocks off the
vault, they fill the vault (booby trapped
money) and X-marked-duffel-bags with hooker
flyers. How did they carry enough hooker flyers
into the vault to to explode some in the vault
and fill the duffel bags. Daniel, Rusty and
Yen carried nothing and the imposter SWAT
team only carried one smaller bag each. -

- When Daniel Ocean is suppose to be beaten
up by the big guy - he gets hit and tells
the other guy off because he wasn't suppose
to hit him yet. But when the other guy is
pretending to hit Danny - he makes noises
to the same volume - surely if the guys out
side can hear what the big guys saying then
they could have heard what Danny said. - summie

- What is the purpose of Carl Reiner's character?
The only important point he served was to
get the fake emeralds into the vault. Why
couldn't the Chinese guy have just taken them
(or the explosives they contained) in with
him? - corvus13
- Comment: Didn't
Carl Reiner have to at one point pretend
to have a heart attack or stroke (I'm
not excalty sure what it was} so that
Brad Pitt as a doctor could come into
the room from where they were watching
the briefcase being stored? - kyara
- Comment:
The old man had to fake a heart attack
so that the 'Pee Wee Herman-looking
dude' could switch the camera feeds
in the elevator (where Matt Damon
was) and the vault. Watch the scene,
you'll see Matt Damon disappear on
the monitor when the old man goes
down. - Eric R.
- The bags full of porn flyers that are carried
out of the vault to the van and blown up in
the vault - how were they taken down there?
No room with the Chinese man, and Clooney
and Pitt didn't take them...
- Comment: The
hooker fliers got into the vault when
the crew, dressed as a SWAT team, carried
them in in bags meant to hold SWAT equipment.
- sport23b
- Comment:
The bags of fliers could _not_ have
been brought in by the SWAT team!
Although some fliers were lying around
in the vault when Benedict came in
(and these could have been planted)
the fliers that were in those X-ed
bags were taken by security guards
to the white van _before_ the SWAT
team arrived. Damon and Clooney did
not bring the bags with fliers in,
nor was their room with the "grease-man."
This is definitely a hole... - Saurabh

- Addition:
The hooker fliers did not go in with
the swat team. The bags with the fliers
were loaded out by the casino staff
before the swat team was given the
okay to move in. The mysterious appearance
of the several hundred pounds of fliers
is a huge plot flaw. How did that
make it through the script? Must be
some explanation somewhere as to how
they got them in there, but if so
it is not in the released version
of the movie. - observe
- Comment:
In an interview the director admitted
that this was an unexplainable happening,
but didn't think that it mattered too
much so never tried to explain how they
got there. - jude
- When George Clooney and Matt Damon use the
wires to fall safely down the elevator shaft,
they are forced to cut the wires so that they
will be out of the way before the power is
restored. But when the power does come back
mere moments later, wouldn't the dangling
wires set off the motion sensors? - BLOTT
- Comment: When
Matt Damon and George Clooney cut the
rappel lines to drop to the bottom of
the elevator shaft, the spring-loaded
cords auto-retracted when their weight
was removed. Same principle as a tape
measure: it can reel itself in when there
is no weight to hold it out. - mmachado
- I found it upsetting that they wanted us
to like these criminals, who are so heartless
that they are willing to set off an electro-magnetic
pulse that will shut down all electric devices
for 30 seconds. I mean people with pacemakers
could die, and what about people in the hospital
on life support? 30 seconds may seem inconsequential,
but when you take power from an entire city
you risk lives no matter how short. - BLOTT
- Comment: The
electromagnetic pulse would knock out
power for thirty seconds, but most hospitals
are equipped with backup generators powered
by diesel or other power sources. - tully
