- During a road scene with Chevy chase driving
next to Christy Brinkley's character in the
Ferrari, the camera switches quickly from
both car's perspective views. During this
time Beverly Deangelo's head is always facing
the camera, making impossible to move her
back in forth that fast. - Geoffrey

- Picky -- In the opening credits a number
of postcards are displayed showing tourist
attractions. On of them is a postcard for
a Leaning Tower of Pisa restaurant. The post
card identifies this location as Green Brook,
NY when it is actually Green Brook, NJ. -

- On the rocking horse in Wally World they
go on a ride where they sway back and forth
as they go up you can see the camera man taping
on the other side of the ride. - alexkotz
- Alright guys take a good look in this scene
near the end. I'm talking about the scene
where the family is gathering around their
poor dead aunt, and Clark is giving a prayer.
It's dark and raining, when the camera is
on the two kids and Ellen, look at the bottom
of the screen you can see the boom mic clear
as day!!! A huge mistake!! one of the worst
I have ever seen! I gather the reason why
the director missed this mistake was because
the cover of the mic is the same colour as
Ellen's coat! Hmmmmmmm, not good! - Dave

- When we first see Aunt Edna, she is using
a walking frame. However, she hands it to
Ellen and heads off for the lunch table like
she never really needed it. Very confusing...
does she need a walking frame or doesn't she?
- Daria
- Maybe it is supposed
to be funny?
- About 3/4 of the way through the movie,
the family truckster launches "fifty
yards" off the end of a closed road in
the desert. Once it is repaired, Ellen gets
in the drivers seat and Clark goes to pay.
Right after Clark realizes that the dishonest
mechanic is also the sheriff, they leave and
take a left onto the highway. Then, the scene
changes, the truckster is now coming toward
the camera but only the driver is in it. Shouldn't
the rest of the family be in there, too? hehe.

- As Clark scares his wife in the shower scene,
she is startled and raises up. The camera
captures a glimpse of a semi-clothed actress
concealing her upper body. - jasta
- (Revealing mistakes) At the end of the movie
when the Griswald's get busted for holding
up the security guard at Wally World (John
Candy), Mr. Wally shows up and doesn't press
charges, you can clearly see Ellen get excited
and run towards Clark to give him a hug, when
she throws her arms around his neck while
wearing handcuffs, her wrists get pinched
by the cuffs because she is shorter than Clark
and she literally hangs for a second or so.
Right when this happens, take a close look
at her face and you can see her say, "ouch".

- After Clark is warned by the marshall not
to insult the 'ornery cuss' of a bartender,
he decides to give the bartender a number
of insults until the bartender decides enough
is enough and fires off a shotgun. Audrey
is deafened by the shotgun blast and Ellen
is understandably upset by this. But when
the Griswald's are back in the car again,
Audrey seems to have gotten her hearing back,
which doesn't make sense. If she really had
been deafened by the shotgun blast, shouldn't
the deafness be permanent? - Claudia
- Correction:
Audrey is pretending to be deaf, she isn't
actually deafened by the noise of the
gunshot. - liz
