- Atreyu sleeps near the stream. Artax pushes
his head under Atreyu, pulls out a piece of
sugar and eats it. It is better visible in
letterbox version (PRO7), in full-screen one
it take a few frames only, so you may need
a good VCR to single-frame the movie. After
Atreyu sits, Artax eats all the remaining
sugar.
- There is a full-face image of the stuntman
Bobby Porter just before he falls from the
tree. This is the scene in which Atreyu is
speaking with Morla, the Ancient One.
- Gnomics cave, near before Atreyu drinks
his cure. Watch carefully the quantity of
vapour above Atreyu's cure during his talking
with the gnome. It's vary, it looks the talking
was made in unusual order.
- Watch the bottom of the asteroid flying
by. Its support pole apparently gets in the
way as the asteroid rotates and ends up "masking"
a vertical section of the asteroid. Looks
like the effects department goofed up this
time.
- Atreyu is washed up on a beach, face up.
He raises his head, looks around, then stands
up. During this movement, there is a cut from
a tight to a wide shot. In the tight shot,
Atreyu's chest is covered with sand. In the
wide shot his chest is clean.
- Atreyu has just left Rockbiter. We see him
(from above) walking towards that building
on top of the hill. All around him there are
the remains of the devastated city. On his
right there are some rocks strewn about. Suddenly
the ground opens up. The camera switches to
a ground-level shot. On his right there is
now a "wall" of rocks (extending
way up into the air). The camera now switches
back to an aerial shot. The wall is gone and
the "strewn about" rocks are back.
Looks like the matte painters and set designers
didn't agree on this one.
- Omikron
(all above)
- The people who were hired to make Falkor
the Luckdragon look like he was speaking really
should have done their work properly. The
finished project looks like a lot of very
bad dubbing. Falkor is constantly 'speaking'
with his mouth closed! - Glorianne
Brentleigh
- When we first see Atreyu for the first time,
he is at the Ivory Tower and lots of people
are there including the little man with the
dirty face and rotten teeth. Atreyu asks the
people why he was sent for. The people laugh
at this and the little man turns around and
asks a question about Atreyu's mental health.
Only problem is: he doesn't have anyone to
talk to. - Sarah
- Atreyu and the scientist gnome are observing
the gate guarded by the two stone sphinxes.
The gnome explains to Atreyu that if a person
comes along who tries to enter the gate and
the sphinxes find them to be 'not worthy'
the sphinxes would kill them. We then see
the sphinxes do this with their laser beam
eyes to a poor unfortunate person. But when
they do this, you can see that what falls
to the ground is an empty suit of armour,
no person in it at all. - Stacey
