• In the opening scene of London, you can see the London bridge, Big Ben, and the Cathedral all lined up nicely for the shot. What a strange camera angle! - Hot Dog 4

• When Rick is running up the Tower bridge when it is going up it shows another scene with Imhotep and Anck-su-namum with the Tower Bridge in the background but the bridge hasn't gone up. - Nicko

• When Jonathan first enters the movie with his girlfriend, the guards take him into the room and make him sit down and some guy holds him put by grabbing his hair in the back as the Alun Amrstrong guys talks. Often the camera switches to the back of Jonathan, then to the front of him again and so on, but many times you can see that the man is not holding his hair and then he is, then he is no again and then he is and so forth. - kyara

• In the scene after they saw the guards come alive from the jar that the mummy opened and they ran out and got in the double decker bus look at the building closely you see thick poles holding it up and then you see the bus moving and then the guards are running on the poles again but that was the British museum and they drove away from it and then they see the mummy guards running on it you would think they would have passed it already! - Sweet

Commented Goofs

• In the first "Mummy" when Imhotep dies, he sort of disintegrates after he tells Evie that "Death is only the beginning." Well, in the sequel, when they bring Imhotep back to life, he comes equipped with eyes and a tongue. However, didn't he have to take the eyes and tongue from Burns in the first movie? - Janice
  • Comment: In the first movie the mummy had to take eyes and tongue from Burst because remember that the guardians of the pharaoh took them away from him when they did that thing they did, so in the return he has tongue and eyes because at "The Mummy" no one took them away from him, did they? - Kate

• In the last movie Imhotep thought Evie was Anck-su-namun, In this movie, she is the reincarnated Neffeteri. Why wouldn't he recognize her as Neffeteri in the last movie. When Imhotep is brought back to life. What happen to the Plagues from the last movie? - pat
  • Comment: Imhotep had the curse, which brought forth the plagues and made him immortal, removed from him in the last movie. (After Evie read from the Golden book) Therefore, when he is brought back in this movie, he was "uncursed." There would be no plagues to bring forth. - Chris

• How is it possible for Rick, (Brendan Fraser), to run faster than the speed of light in order to save his "son" Jonathan from being destroyed by the magic bracelet on his wrist. He may be fast, but I doubt he's that fast. (Theatre) - amy

Corrected Goofs

• In the first Mummy Jonathan read in a book (not sure if its the book of the dead or the book of the living) that he couldn't figure out a symbol and he controlled the guards to kill Anck-su-namun and in the Mummy Returns she's still alive. - Sweet
  • Correction: She is not still alive, the Anck-Su-Namun in the Mummy Returns is her reincarnation/relative (I forget which exactly) and that's why he must go through the steps to make her HIS Anck' again. - CrimsonRyoko
    • Correction: But he used the same spell to control the guards to kill anck-su-namun and in the mummy returns he Alex used the same spell to return Evie after she dies. - Swee

Explained Goofs

• Any one ever notice in the double decker buss scene, how many mummys are chasing them and how many mummys they kill? There missing one mummy! Big oopsie! (DVD) - Buba
  • Explanation: In the director commentary, Steven Sommers explains that after Rick kills the third mummy, he comes down to the lower part of the bus where Jonathan is being strangled by the fourth mummy from the bus driver's window.
