• In the water volleyball scene, Pam in the blue bathing suit is in front up until when Greg is going to spike the ball, then Debb in the orange is in front and Pam in back. - WolfMan

• In the end when Robert D gives Ben S the lie detector test by checking his pulse, but Robert uses his thumbs which also have a pulse in them, meaning he could no do this correctly. - Vince Dad

• When Denny comes in from the roof, he is wearing the jacket with yellow on it. But when they are leaving and Greg needs a coat, Pam gets the same coat out of the downstairs coat closet. - victory

• When Denny comes in from the roof the front of the chair is towards the window and the back is towards the door but the next time you look at the chair it is the other way around. - AM

• When Pam and Greg first get to Pam's parents' house, she takes Greg's cigarette, and throws them on the roof. The pack makes it over the first side, and gets stuck on another. In another scene they show they the house and it very tall, and a lightweight pack of cigarettes couldn't have made it over. - Meather

• In the pool scene, they can stand up to play volleyball anywhere in the pool. In the corner, there is a diving board! Who would dive in a shallow pool?

• When Pam throws the cigarettes over the roof, the get stuck upside down. But when Greg chases Jinx onto the roof & finds them, They are right side up. (DVD) - justin

• When Greg light the alter on fire, the fire started in the gutter. When he kicks at the gutter and part of it comes loose, the part that stayed up still has fire in it; but the next scene the fire is gone. (DVD) - justin

• When Greg is in the polygraph room he gets scared by Jack and he says "Jesus Jack you scared me.", in my eyes I thought he was Jewish. (VHS) - jon boy
  • I am an atheist and I use the word "Jesus". I believe anyone, who is not an extreme Christian, can use the word. It's like the F-word - very useful.

• In the scene where Ben Stiller lights the alter on fire he is on the roof. He panics and jumps into a window. If you look carefully you can see he dives into the window and the back of his foot breaks the window. I'm pretty sure that was not supposed to happen. (VHS) - twinioneng

• When Greg has Jack's clothes on for the first time and he's talking to Pam, watch as he's buttoning the sleeves of his shirt. He gets the first sleeve but attempts the second and doesn't get it, but the next shot it's buttoned. - floyddog989

• At the airport when Jack is questioning Greg, sunlight is streaming through the blinds. When they go outside later, it is dark. (TV) - alman

• Did anyone notice that when the alter caught fire the platform in the middle blew up into the air, with a fire under it? (DVD) - Chris

• Towards the end of the movie when Pam is in her room on the bed talking to Greg, her necklace keeps moving. In one shot it's on the side and then hanging straight down, however you never really see her move around a lot. - badmsin

• At the end, when Robert De Niro is watching the tape of Ben Stiller flushing the toilet during the night that he spends in the Burns house. Ben (Greg) says "Why don't you ask Danny who's Puffing the Magic Dragon?" Greg does not meet Danny until the following morning. (DVD) - drworm

• In the last scene, when Greg is in the plane and this guy bumps into him, and Greg tell him "Wheres the fire ?" Notice when Greg gets thrown off the plane , this same guy is sitting at the lobby of the airport !?! Shouldn't he have been on the plane!? (DVD) - NikhilNarkar

• (Continuity) In the scene where Greg wakes up and meets the family, he walks through the door and starts to button his shirt. When the scene cuts back to him the top button is not buttoned but when the scene goes back to him the button is buttoned. (VHS) - Vinny C.

• (Continuity) In the scene when the family is trying to figure out what to do about Jinx missing, Denny is sitting on the couch by his sister. She gets upset and goes to stand up, holding onto the coffee table. As she stands up, the side of the coffee table falls down and slams onto Denny's knee (making a loud noise). In the next scene, the side of the table is folded back up. (VHS) - Vinny C.

• (Continuity) During the interrogation at the airport, the light shining on the table is perfectly round, then it becomes rectangular in subsequent camera shots. - TBone

• (Continuity) In Robert D's opening scene outside the house, his hair is one length and in the next scene when he goes inside it's another length. Check it out. - radio 959

• (Continuity)In the scene where Greg (Ben Stiller) gives Pam's mother the plant as a gift, she puts the box and wrapping paper on her lap. The next time they show her, the wrapping paper and box is out of sight! She couldn't of threw it out that quickly!!!!! - BBALLABRO

Corrected Goofs

• Ok, remember when Greg was in the drug store and he bought the Nicorette and chewed it in various scenes of the movie? You don't chew Nicorette, you bite it until it tingles and then you put in in the corner of your mouth. At least that's what the commercial says you do, so DUH! - Sue
