- When Neo is shooting at the agent on top
of the building and the agent dodges all of
the bullets, none of them go and damage the
building behind him. - Vic
Cherubini
- Neo and Trinity completely destroy the inside
of the building, but when the final explosion
goes off the room is back to normal. - Emma
- This movie is technically flawless because
it is all just a glitch in "the matrix"
program itself, hence there are no flaws in
the movie. - UnKnown
- Neo's 9mm machine gun drops .223 cartridges
during the shoot-em-up scene. - Scott
- When Neo is being shot at and he's dodging
them and the bady is about to shoot him look
at the shadow then when Trinity shoots the
bady the shadow is different. - Killer_2000
- When Neo is scaping from the agent almost
at the end, the agent shoots more than 6 bullets
to his chest, yet Neo has 6 perfect align
hole in his chest. - Dizkman
- When Agent Smith shoots Neo in chest the
first time and you see the spent shell hitting
the ground, the end is smooth, but when it
shows the gun from above you can see that
they are blanks with crimped ends not the
smooth edge like a real bullet. - Phyber
- When Neo is in his work place and receives
a FedEx parcel containing the phone, a close
shot of him shows him about to rip the parcel
open, the next shot from far away shows him
with the parcel at his waist picking it up
then opening it. - kurt
cobain
- There are two occasions when you can see
boom mikes reflected in a character's sunglasses
when looking up. One when Morpheus is explaing
to Neo what the Matrix is when he look up
as he says, "Fate as it seems is not
without a sense of irony." And in the
end after Neo makes the phone call in the
booth, right before he "flies".
- movieguy
- When Neo first shows up for work he looks
up at the name on the building. It is different
than the poster in the background when Neo
is in the middle of the cubicles when he crosses
into the next one. - Fighter
Man
- When the agent shoots at Neo, and he dodges
the bullets, his cape is moving at regular
speed. But since it goes so slow that you
can se the bullets his cape should not move
at all. - SSL
- In the subway fight when the agent punches
at Neo but Neo pulls back and the agent punches
through the cement pillar you can easily see
the weak/soft part were he is supposed to
punch through. - Joe
- Ok, when Neo and Morpheus are going to the
Oracle's the camera shows Neo's hand moving
closer to move the knob but if you slow it
down you can see a camera reflection. The
camera is being covered by a shiny black blanket.
- godsmack
- Addition:
The doorhandle itself is with a keyhole
in the middle, when shot form across the
corridor, with close-up it's plain. (DVD)

- When Neo and Agent Smith are fighting in
the subway scene you can see the cables used
for Keanu Reeves to be able to jump out of
the way of the train and onto the platform.
- kf
- Addition:
It's not only that you can see the cables
but you can also see him taking them to
help him make his back flip. - TMS
- In the beginning when Trinity is being chased
by the cops she jumps the first roof, then
the cops do, the last cop falls and you can
clearly see the wall flex. Also same scene
you can see the ceiling rafters on the roof
of the studio. And also while running across
the tops of the buildings at the start you
can clearly see the picture curtain behind
them, it is kind of wavey up the top. - Buff
- I think there's a mistake with the reflection
in the building windows in the training program
scene right when the action freezes. - Neal
- Explanation:
The windows reflect green but if you listen
to the commentary on the DVD they explain
that things in the matrix were made to
be a little green because the matrix is
supposed to be perfect but they didn't
quite get it right. Likewise in the training
it would look as similar to the matrix
as possible. (DVD) - grinder
- Beginning of the movie - Trinity is running
away from Agents et al., and crashes through
the window, rolls down the stairs. When she
looks back, the light she smacked is swinging
and squeeking. A second later it is dead still.
But still squeeking. - NoSetFine
- When Neo backflips off the subway tracks
you can see cables in a couple of frames.
- Dan
- When Neo is on top of the building looking
down at the cars all the traffic arrows drawn
onto the roads are pointing in the opposite
direction that the cars are traveling (some
the movie was shot in Sydney, Australia all
their cars drive on the left hand side). -
Psycho
Boy Jack
- In the fight scene between Agent Smith and
Neo, Agent Smith punches through a wall. OR
NOT AS THE CASE MAY BE! Because if you look
closely you will see the patch that comes
out when he hits it. (It appears darker than
the rest of the column.) - Leviathan
- In the rooftop scene where Neo is dodging
bullets, he drops his guns on the floor, then
the agent starts shooting at him and the camera
travels around Neo and the guns are gone!
And then they are back when the bullets time
effect is over. - Erge
- When Morpheus is shot in the leg he limps
to the helicopter. He shows no pain though
when Neo drops him about 20 feet to the roof
of the other building or when he walks to
jogs to the pay phone. - Deftones
- I am very surprised that this has not been
pointed out here and cannot claim credit for
seeing it originally. In the roof top "steal
the helicopter" scene when the showdown
between Neo and the agent happens there should
be several bodies on the roof from Trinity
and Neo's handiwork. They are all gone. -
Swampfox
- When Neo meets Morpheus for the first time.
Morpheus' left hand is behind his back and
the next shot we see his back with his hand
alongside his body. When the shot goes back
to front his hand is back behind him. - pierre
- In the scene with Thomas Anderson and his
boss, one angle shows Thomas with his hands
in front of him. Another angle shows his hands
behind him. - Chicks
- Before Agent Smith shots Neo at the end
of the movie there is a large bloody mark
on the back wall to Neo's right. This was
left by mistake from the previous take. Watch
when Neo falls back, sure enough, he hits
his mark perfectly. - Pia
- I don't really understand how Tank survived
after he was shot and almost half his midsection
is blown off. - RuThiE
jO jO
- When Neo falls out of the water slide if
you slow it down he has on a orange life presever
on his neck. - manifest121
- In the steal the helicopter scene Trinity
puts the gun to the agents head and says "dodge
this" and he just looks at her when he
could have really dodged or grabbed the gun
in a split second. - Donga
- Same scene, Neo falls to the ground to dodge
the bullets when he can only fall as fast
as gravity. (He could have bent the rules
of the matrix but he didn't know how to then.)
- Donga
- When Neo is standing under the tunnel, and
the car carrying Trinity, Apoc and Switch
stops in front of him, Trinity opens the door
and peers out at Neo. On the Back wall behind
him, you can see "Wrong Name" written
in red. Not really a movie goof, but kinda
Ironic. - Ashlee
- Hey, me again. I noticed something else.
When the FedEx dude hands Neo the package,
he says have a nice day. When Neo and Trinity
are in the elevator, the sign that shows which
way you are going says have a nice day. I
don't know if it's a goof or something, but
it's kinda weird. - Ashlee
- In the Helicopter scene when Neo is shooting
at the Agents from the Helicopter you can
clearly see bullets falling from the gun,
some are full cartridges with casing and bullet
still intact some are just empty cases. -
Marko
- Seems no one in all the goofs of this movie
has mentioned this one, when Neo and Trinity
are on the roof and one of the agents are
about to shoot at Neo, and Neo dodges it,
when Neo throws his weapons down clearly the
scean b4 Trinity is on his right. But when
he says: "Trinity help" he turns
his head to the left to ask Trinity for help.
- Brian
- When Morpheus is telling Neo about life
in the matrix first you see an American policeman
and than you see the Commonwealth Bank of
Australia logo. - Waylander
- When Agent Smith has Neo on the train tracks
in the subway the train is running off overhead
power while American trains run off a third
rail system. - Waylander
- After Neo is done visiting the oracle, she
hands him a cookie, to which Neo takes a bite
of the cookie. In the next shot he is trying
to figure out why he isn't the one. He talks
to Morpheus and the cookie in his hand is
a whole cookie, no bite in it at all. Then
the shot after that there is another bite.
Something with that cookie isn't "as
right as rain" - Gajoozie
- I don't know if this occurs in all versions
of the film, but on the DVD version I noticed
that in the roof battle scene there are several
dead or unconscious bodies of fallen officers
lying everywhere but when Neo is dodging the
bullets in slo-mo and the camera spins around
him, there are only 2-3 dead SWAT team guys
lying there. (DVD) - BryanHep
- When the helicopter is about to crash look
at the shadows on the rooftop. The shadows
have different angles from the roof because
they were probably shot at different times
of the day. The shadows change each scene.
(DVD) - Darren
"IWSR" Ito
- When Neo/Trinity are on the roof fighting
the swat guys the sun is out, then when Neo
does the bullet time thing, there is no sun,
then the agent blocks the sun with his gun.
(DVD) - Darren
"IWSR" Ito
- When Morpheus is talking with Neo, many
mistakes are made as angles are cut. For example
the pills jump hands, or one scene Morpheus
has pills, another he doesn't, or his hand
jumps locations although the speech implies
time is traveling normally. Also Morpheus's
belt changes. (DVD) - Shal
- During the interrogation of Morpheus, Agent
Smith holds his hands on the sides of Morpheus'
head, as the camera shot changes from front
to back, the place where his hands are change,
then when moved back to a front shot, they
are in their original position. (DVD/VHS)
- Knightsy
- I know this is kind of twisted but just
before Neo goes in to see the oracle and the
little boy is telling Neo how to bend spoons
and he said that it isn't the spoon that bends,
it is only yourself. If it was only the little
boy who bends the spoon in himself then how
the hell does Neo see it? - ardbunian
- When Neo is escaping from the agents at
his work, they first show the outside of the
building with the name of the company called
Metacortex. Later, Neo is running past the
agents inside the building, the name of the
company is spelled Meta Cortechs. Or it might
of been my eyes. (TV) - Ally
- How does Cypher get into the Matrix to talk
to the agents? Someone had to have patched
him in and got him out, but that wouldn't
make any sense. This is one of the largest,
but most overlooked, goofs in the movie!!!
- Davicimo
- In the scene where Neo is waiting under
the bridge. You see an outrageous amount of
water falling from overhead, but a few scenes
later when the car pulls up and the angle
reverses there is no water falling from the
other side of the bridge. (DVD/Widescreen)
- DnA
- When Neo is first brought to see Morpheus,
Neo is talking to him and Morpheus is holding
his hands behind his back. After he takes
them down the camera angle quickly changes,
then changes back and Morpheus is holding
his hands behind his back again. (VHS) - Freeze
- In the scene where Neo first enters the
training program, and he meets Morpheus there,
the background is all white and there are
two recliners and a television set. Right
at the start when the camera is zoomed in
on Morpheus, take note of the lack of reflection
in his sunglasses (basically they are all
black). Then the camera is on Neo, but when
the camera switches back to Morpheus a few
seconds later, the reflection is there in
his sunglasses like a mirror! (VHS) - kmckeith
- The Biggest Matrix Goof: That they let people
with IQ's under 40 into the theatre. Some
of you have good points, but the majority
of you are missing the point that The Matrix
is a program, can change instantaneously.
Also you're giving too much credit to the
agents (who can bend the rules but not break
them), not enough credit to Morpheus' crew
(who's conflict is against not the agents
but rather their minds belief of what's happening)
and Neo (who has inborn ability to break every
rule in the Matrix he wants to, whether he
realizes it or not.) you missed the entire
point of the movie. - LiQuiDcHeEsE
- In the beginning of the movie "The
Matrix," when Trinity is running from
the police, she leaps from one building and
dives through a window in a building across
an alley. Right after she dives off the building,
she spins so that her back is toward the ground.
But when she crashes through the window she
tucks and rolls as if her stomach was toward
the ground. - treehugger36
- When Neo goes to see the oracle she says,
"I hate giving good people bad news"
the camera turns to Neo and in the background
you can hear a snort. Does the oracle have
some sort of nose issue or was this just a
camera man that had to sneeze? Who knows?
- a
+ k
- Belinda McClory (Switch)'s name is spelled
Belinda Mc Clory in the credits. Not really
a movie goof but still funny. (VHS) - the_one
- When Neo and Morpheus are in the white loading
room Morpheus is explaining to Neo and Neo's
upset. The image in the reflection of Morpheus's
glasses is different that the actual Neo.
(DVD) - MajicOmen
- I was wondering, if Cypher and the others
on the ship were so tired of eating the nutritious
swill, and the awful conditions onboard (according
to Cypher, right?) Couldn't they have something
like a "training program" that allowed
them gourmet meals and Hawaiian vacations,
to get a break, at least? (They would still
need to eat the swill though, because they
would lack the liquid food provided by the
matrix). - JFK
- Surprised no one caught this, but when Neo
is trying to escape his office building, he
opens the window and steps out to the ledge.
When he turns the corner and grips the side
column, he looks down and on the street level
there're close to 100 school children crossing
the street. After a strong gust, Neo drops
the phone just a split second after the school
kids were there, and now they are gone and
all the cars on the street are in new spots.
(DVD-Widescreen) - ToAsTeR
- In the subway scene, after Neo and agent
smith have emptied their clips and fallen
on the ground, agent smith tosses his gun
away while they are both on the ground, when
they are shown standing up, you'll see agent
smith tossing his same gun again. - RealOneDet
- When Neo goes into room 303 at the end,
the agent shoots him a total of 10+ times,
but never reloads. The weapon the agent is
using is a Desert Eagle Mark XIX. A .357 Desert
Eagle can only hold a total of 9 rounds. -
GunNut_33
- In the lobby, when Neo is running while
shooting 9mm machinepistols, but .223 casings
are shown falling to the ground. - GunNut_33
- In the scene where neo is being shot in
the apartment room at the end, there are 2
mistakes. One, when the first shot is fired,
it shows a shell casing falling to the ground.
It is a small pistol round, possibly a 9mm.
The agent is shooting a Desert Eagle, which
fires magnum cartriges, not small rounds like
the 9mm. Next, after neo is shot the second
time, it shows a top view of the gun ejecting
the shell casing. BUT if you look closely,
the gun doesn't eject an empty shell, it ejects
a whole unspent bullet. - GunNut_33
- At the end when Neo is being shot in the
hallway, look closely at the ceiling. Note
that there is nothing hanging from the ceiling.
Later, when Neo gets up, and starts fighting
the agent, if you look at the ceiling then,
you see a bunch of wires and crap hanging
from the ceiling. Where the hell did they
come from? - GunNut_33
- I'm not sure whether this is a real goof
at all or not, but if u notice the helicopter
shooting scene where Neo starts firing at
all the agents like mad, not even one bullet
hits Morpheus even though Neo does not really
aim at anyone in particular. (VHS) - Kage
- Scene - Trinity flies the chopper - I'm
really surprised no-one saw this. When trinity
is flying the chopper, her trousers are a
shiny tight fitted rubber, but at all other
times (see when she bounces off the building)
her trousers are a much shinier, creased PVC
material. - gramps
- (Revealing mistakes) When Morpheus and Neo
go to see the Oracle, there is a blind man
sitting there (notice the cane). Morpheus
acknowledges him by waving, the man nods back.
I thought he was blind. (VHS) - nat
- Everybody in that
room has some kind of supernatural capabilities.
Apparently, the blind man can sense things
or maybe he isn't all that blind.
- (Continuity) When Neo and the agent are
in the subway place, neo is thrown on the
ground and you can see that there is blood
from his mouth. He wipes the blood with his
hand and then he does a type of karate move
with the same hand but when u look at the
hand, there is no blood on it. - Minitea25
- (Continuity) When Keanu Reeves (Neo) walks
into his work building, there is a sign on
the building the says Metavortex, or something
like that. When Neo leaves the building the
sign now says Metavortech. (Theatre) - Peter

- When Neo is in his cubicle at work, if u
keep looking at the left side of the screen
u will see that there is a hand in the office
and a second later it is gone. - Disturbed
- Comment: I
have just watched the movie on TV, and
yes there is a hand. This is not in the
widescreen version. - jeff
- Correction:
In the scene with the FedEx driver, there
is a hand resting on Neo's desk. It is
only on the VHS version. (which by the
way is the one HBO uses) the in the DVD
version it is corrected, the shot is tighter.
- BabelFish
- Comment: I
think some of you are forgetting the definition
of a goof here: Something that happens
which makes a movie seem unrealistic,
or impossible to happen." (Or something
like that.) So what there's a hand on
the cubicle and then there's not? The
guy obviously moved his hand. It's not
as if people can't move their hands between
scenes. Also, this applies to when people
are wearing something, then not. And vice-versa.
They just put it on or took it off. Duh!
- Scott
F.
- Scott, you are talking
about scenes, while the goof it self
is about difference between shots.
The time between shots are as short
as when you blink your eye. A shot
is just a change of camera angle.
Nothing should be different from shot
to shot. A scene, on the other hand,
is a series of shots.
- Correction:
The debated "hand" goof in the
fed-ex scene. The debate about moving
the hand is pointless - the hand is in
a place that couldn't possibly be reached
- it is at the left edge of the desk -
but in the next shot we see the left side
of the desk has a filing cabinet next
to it. (VHS) - gramps
- Correction:
In a further addition to the disputed
hand when Neo receives his phone - the
hand in the background has no shirt and
a watch, whilst the delivery guy has a
sleeve which runs right up to his hand.

- When Cypher is talking to the agent in the
restaurant eating steak, he is telling the
agent to make him into Ronald Reagan. He says
that he wants to be an actor, someone with
power, and he does not want to remember anything...then
the agent calls Cypher Mr. Reagan. - runs_with_scissors_@hotmail.com
- Correction:
When Cypher is talking to the agent and
having his steak, the agent calls him
Mr. Reagan because Reagan is Cypher's
last name. - kelly
- Comment:
To Kelly's "correction"
of Runs With Scissors' interesting
theory about Reagan. I don't want
to speak for Mr. Runs With Scissors,
but I don't think he meant this one
as a goof, just an interesting bit
of trivia.
- Comment: When
agent Smith calls him "Mr. Reagan",
He's calling him by his "Matrix Name",
just like Neo's Is "Mr. Anderson".
It's the name he grew up with when he
was still in the matrix, before he was
freed from the matrix. - mrknowitall420
- At the end of the movie, they use an electromagnetic
pulse to destroy the squiddys. The squids,
however, are inside of the ship, which couldn't
happen because anything electrical inside
of the ship would also be blown out. The EMP
would only work on something that is outside
of the ship, which would be shielded on the
outside from EMP. - DannyMac
- Correction:
If you listen to what Tank and Morpheus
are saying they are talking about how
they must get Neo out BEFORE they set
off the EMP. It would have the same effect
as if they unplugged him (he would die)
because the mind would be separated from
the body. - Emjay
- Correction:
In the movie everything in the ship does
get blown out, why else do u think that
they have to wait for Neo to get out of
the Matrix? So when they use the EMP,
the pulse does not blow out Neo's connection
and kill him. - RedDiablo
- Comment: Earlier
in the movie, when they set the EMP off,
tank shuts down all of the electrical
systems including the monitors that show
the matrix. He does this so that when
they set the EMP off they don't blow out
the ship's computer. Later they decide
to put up eith it they just are concerned
with getting neo out... - vwstreetrodder

Goofs
- In the beginning of the movie, when Trinity
fights the police, Morpheus informs her she
can't escape by using the phone in the room
because "they cut the hard line". However,
this is the same room that Tank directs Neo
to at the end of the movie, so he can escape
the Matrix. - Mike
- Comment: If
you listen to Tank, he tells Neo they
have a "patch" on an old exit,
which makes sense, considering that after
the police do damage to a building, they
don't just leave it, they will repair
it. - DrEvil07
- When the FedEx guy comes to Neo, Neo is
staring at a blank computer screen. (DVD)
- Darren
"IWSR" Ito
- Comment: Of
course he is staring at a blank computer
screen...his computer the night before
started talking to him! He was also weirded
out by everything that had been happening
to him...if I was Neo, I would've just
sat and stared at a blank computer screen
too! - AngelGDH
- If these agent blokes are strong enough
to punch through solid concrete walls, why
isn't Neo immediately killed when one smacks
him in the chest? - Fibz
- Comment: Well,
you could theorize that something in the
way Neo was "reborn" has made
him strong enough to survive a punch from
an Agent, or the fact that he is "The
One" makes him that much stronger.
Or, you could simply say that the movie
just would not be very good if everyone
was killed by one simple punch. - MovieBuff
- Trinity is chatting on the phone when The
Matrix begins a trace on the phone call. The
time of the trace is 13:24:18. Converting
the time from Military would leave the time
of the trace at 1:24:18 PM. Or 1:30 in the
afternoon. When Agent Smith arrives at the
scene, it is obviously taking place in the
evening. Seems as though it took The Matrix
a few hours to get a few agents on the scene.
- Mica
- Comment: Seems
as though you "Mica" have copied
this right off another website..word for
word..I have just read it. Even though
it is true. Maybe you should look for
your own spoofs instead of copying them,
or at least put it into your own words.
- Alb123
- Comment:
Yes, I copied the goof from another
web site. I just wanted readers of
this site to know it too. I didn't
knew that goofs have a copyright.
And because I'm not very good at English,
I just copied it. I promise that next
time I will tell IF I copy something.
- Mica
- Comment: The
military frequently uses "Zulu"
time, the time at the Prime Meridian for
a standard "base" time. For
the US' east coast, this is 4-5 hours
ahead depending on daylight savings time.
So 1430 Eastern would be 1930 Zulu. Maybe
the computer was using Zulu time. - Otto
- When Neo is operating the gun on the helicopter
the agents miss every single shot they fire
at him. He was like five feet away! Then agent
Smith hits Morpheus' leg through a wall and
fires two shots and hits the helicopter gas
tank which was at least fifty feet away! -
Deftones
- Comment: The
agents are being shot at from a helicopter
gun, so the chance of them being able
to aim and fire accurately is impossible,
any way if they shot Neo the movie would
be finished, causing the movie to suck.
This is not a goof. Simply the story line.
- Jersey
Slut
- Comment: Have
you ever seen Star Wars? Bad guys for
some odd reason seem to have a pretty
bad aim even at the closest distance.
But still the helicopter gun would do
a good job of keeping someone from having
the time to aim. - Ruby
- Cypher goes into the matrix to talk to the
agent (when they are eating steak) but this
is impossible b/c in order 2 do this he must
have an operator. I would say he had an accomplice
(which would make an interesting twist in
the next movie) but his only two possible
accomplices are Tank and Dozer, and he shoots
both of them. So he could not have first of
all entered the matrix, and second of all
he could not have left it. -- Also, is it
just me or does that little Indian kid (the
spoon kid) have a British accent? - josh
the red
- Comment: If
he is Indian and has a British accent.
There might be a perfect explanation.
His parents moved to England and he was
born there then moved to America. - doggeroo
- Comment:
The supposed Indian kid who has a British
accent is very well possible, considering
that if I remember my history correctly,
India was once a colony of Britain like
many other countries that exist today.

- When Morpheus, Neo, Trinity, Apoc, and switch
hide in the wall they are below the hole made
in the wall. When Morpheus breaks through
the wall to attack the agent he comes out
above the hole. - whitney
- Correction:
Yes, Mr. Fishburn comes out above the
hole, cause they have climbed down to
a different floor, they are not in the
same room where they went in. You know
that because the police officer goes into
a bathroom with no hole. - sprintr
- Correction:
The thing about the going to a lower
floor is correct. But, when the officer
first comes in, you can see it quite
clearly, a large hole in the wall.
(Or I'm mistaken) And he isn't even
suspicious. He goes in to investigate,
hears Cypher sneeze, and the scene
goes on. - Alli
- In the scene where Trinity points a gun
at the temple of the agent's head and says
"Dodge this." the gun is pointed
at the side of the head, but in the next shot
when she pulls the trigger she is aiming straight
at his forehead. - MacX
- Correction:
The reason why the Agent gets shot in
the forehead by Trinity is because she
says "Dodge this." and attracts
his attention, then turns his head to
look at her. I mean, its pretty obvious.
=/ - Scott
F.
- Correction:
When Trinity tells the agent to "dodge

but actually just looks toward Trinity,
so it is a goof that it shows the

- While fleeing the agents after the subway
fight with Smith, Neo grabs some civilian's
cell phone and makes a call to Tank in the
"Real World". This shouldn't be
at all possible; the whole point of the "hard
line" entry/exits into and out of the
Matrix is made obsolete by this glitch. The
guy whose cell phone is stolen is just a piece
of Matrix software, ergo so is his phone.
It has no connection whatsoever to the Real
World and therefore Neo shouldn't have been
able to "dial out" to Tank on it.
And YES, I know Morpheus and Co. use cell
phones in the Matrix to communicate with Tank
BUT those are cell phone "programs"
they would have had to have written themselves
-- Matrix hacks specific to their Matrix bodies.
Why would the machines write cell phone programs
inside the Matrix that could possibly dial
out to the Real World? - susurran
- Correction:
Cell phones are a communication point,
but cannot get them out. Having a number
to call is like having a backdoor password
in a program. It doesn't mean they can
leave through it, which requires the hard
line. However, some innocuous form of
"walkie-talkie" is needed to
the "real/outside" world. -

Goofs
- Earlier in the movie Morpheus explains to
Neo that anyone within the matrix can instantaneously
become an agent if they should take some sort
of active notice of you. Yet the Oracle is
always in the matrix and it would seem that
she too would be subject to these rules and
kill off the saviors of this virtual universe.
Perhaps she also possesses the power to "bend"
the matrix laws, but this seems like a little
more breaking the rules. - Rich
- Explanation:
There are other ships in the "real"
world that we could safely assume have
the same capabilities of sending and extracting
people from the Matrix. So perhaps the
Oracle does not exist full time in the
Matrix but rather enters and exits as
Neo and the others do when it is necessary.
Within the Matrix would be the only place
these "special people" in the
Oracle's apartment could test their abilities
to "bend" or "break"
Matrix rules. But that doesn't mean they
have to exist there all the time. - Aozora
- Am I the only one who noticed that everyone
is wearing clothes when they're not in The
Matrix? How did they get the clothes they're
wearing? - Sub-Zero
- Explanation:
The reason that they have clothes is that
there is a city in the center of the earth
where it is still warm, where Tank and
his brother were born. Where do you think
they got their supplies along with food.
They got there clothes from there too...you
think? - orange

- At the end, when agent Smith unloads on
Neo, and he hits the wall, there are several
bullet holes in his shirt. After Neo reappears
from inside agent Smith, the bullet holes
have magically disappeared. - manix
- Explanation:
Well, he is the One (or is he?), so he
just healed himself and got back up. -
Jam-Jam
- When Tank is preparing to hack into the
matrix so Neo can go see the Oracle, he say
to observe the no smoking sign, fasten seat
belts, etc... He has never seen a stewardess
because they didn't exist during his lifetime
(or even centuries before) and he has never
been inside the matrix (he has no wires etc.)
(DVD) - dave
- Explanation:
Tank can see the matrix through the screen
with the green numbers falling down, just
like cypher can, therefore he would be
able to see a plane and what the stewardess
says. - (VHS) birdie
