- Near the end of the film there is a slow-motion
shot of hawkeye screaming "no!".
In this scene he bumps a rock that slightly
caves in. - David
- In the climactic battle, that takes place
in a field, one of the huron indians fires
his musket 3 times. Muskets only fired one
shot at a time. - David
- Near the end of the film, in the showdown
between Uncas and Magua, you can see a "line"
in Magua's knife. This is because this is
a stage knife. When the knife "stabs"
someone the blade goes in. The "line"
is the opening that the blade goes in. - David
- In the scene where Nathaniel, Chingachook,
and Uncas are approaching the Cameron cabin
in the dark, before the get invited in for
supper; there is a distance shot of the cabin
where you can see Alexandra come out of the
door, walk across the porch, and stand on
the edge of the platform. Then there is a
close-up shot of the porch where you see Alexandra
come out of the door, walk across the porch,
and stand on the edge of the platform again.
- Cathy
- Also, in the scene where Uncas is eyeballing
Alice by the edge of the stream where she
is about to climb up the rocks, the film footage
of Uncas has been reversed so that his earring,
moles and all the other details of his face
are reversed. - Cathy
- During the scene where Nathaniel and Uncas
are acting as sharpshooters in order to protect
the messenger carrying the message to Web
at Fort Edward, you can see that the sky in
the background changes around from one clip
to another reflecting that it is getting later
and earlier and later and earlier in the day
during the entire length of this sequence.
- Cathy
- At the beginning, during the hunt as the
deer runs past the camera, you can spot a
man waving a flag or bandana behind the deer.
(VHS - Special Edition) - galina
- In the original VHS during the Par les vous
(spelling?) to surrender the fort, a silver
bus drives past in the background. (VHS -
Special Edition) - galina
- After the English & co. leave the fort,
as they are entering the meadow, at the bottom
of the screen you can see the director carrying
a megaphone and a stage hand to his left.
