Leopold is taken from the
year 1876, yet he is familiar with Puccini's
"La Boheme" (first performed in
1896), Gilbert and Sullivan's "The
Pirates of Penzance" (first performed
in 1879 - and he manages to misremember
the plot) and Puccini's "Tosca"
(1898). (Theatre) - RoadRunneR
- Leopold is shown listening to Roebling make
a speech in April 1876. The famous engineer
had actually died a few weeks after the bridge
was begun in 1869. (Theatre) - RoadRunneR
- The current 50star US flag can be seen in
the background when Stuart is taking pictures
"in the past". (Theatre) - RoadRunneR
- When Leopold wakes up in Stuart's apartment,
he says Stuart "could be Jack the Ripper
for all I know", however since Leopold
is from 1876 he couldn't know about Jack the
Ripper, who didn't begin his crime spree until
the late 1880's. (Theatre) - RoadRunneR
- When Kate is at the party and is announced
Senior Vice President, her dress has no lace
on it. When she appears in 1876, her dress
suddenly has a lace border on the neckline.
(Theatre) - RoadRunneR
- When Kate and Leo are having dinner on the
roof Kate's dress strap jumps to the side
(showing her bra strap) then jumps back in
place. (VHS) - mandie
- The scene where J.J. and Kate are at dinner,
and Leopold and Charlie join them, J.J. and
Leopold are discussing J.J.'s new estate in
England and they mention that it is in "Sussex,
near Balmoral." Balmoral is one of Queen
Elizabeth's estates that is in Scotland, not
anywhere near Sussex, which is south of London.

- Stuart shows Kate pictures of herself at
the ball in 1876. Kate doesn't arrive there
until Stuart has already left, so how does
he have pictures of her there? - lu
- Maybe someone else took
the pictures and gave them to Stuart?
- In the movie, Stuart claims that Leopold
invented the elevator. This is total false,
since elevators already existed in 1876. In
1853, American inventor (not noble) Elisha
G. Otis invented the elevator with safety
device which made the elevators safer. Elevators
of the time were steam elevators, and hydraulic
elevators came around early 1870's, invented
by Sir William Armstrong in the 1846. Electric
elevator was invented by German inventor Werner
Von Siemen in 1880. So, Leopold has nothing
to do with inventing elevator. (DVD) - Simboy
