- Obi-Wan Kenobi's braid magically switches

- They re-use the same "audience clapping"

- At the end of the movie when the all of
the jedi's are getting off the ship at the

like mace windu in the background but it's
not Sam Jackson.- adam
- When Jar Jar passes by the droids (including
R2) on the ship there are 3 droids. Then when
the droids are on the top of the ship there
are 4. - Road Dogg
- The white piece of cloth that Anakin is
holding when everybody leaves appears beside
him when watto says "clean the racks."
there is no indication of him moving it during
his close-up shot. - Steven
- During the end celebration, there will be
a shot looking towards the precession down
the Theed palace steps, with the Queen and
others in the foreground. At the bottom of
the steps, two large statue shadows are seen.
These are never seen again. - Bob
- When Qui-Gon, Jar Jar, Padme, and Anakin
first enter Anakin's house, Qui-Gon introduces
himself to Anakin's mother- as he says this,
Padme is mouthing Qui-Gon's lines. - Winky
- This is during the pod race. Before Anakin's
little gizmo pops out, when Sebulba's engines
are right behind Anakin; he looks back. During
this time, there is a little red dot projected
in his eyes, kind of like a laser pointer.
- Bob
- When Padme is telling everyone about the
"storming the castel" plans, her
lips don't match-up with her lines! uh-oh!
Das not good! - Cerasi
- When the sith droid zooms thought the city,
look closely. It goes through a guy. - Ax
- During the Podrace, one of the racers (I'm
positive he has a name, I just don't remember)
is stopped because his pod won't work. The
droids are all over, and he screams (sort
of quick, but you can still hear it) "Que
pasa, que pasa?" which is Spanish. I
think it means "What's up, what's happening"
but I'm not positive. Something around that.
So Spanish makes it into the movie! Cool!

- In the widescreen edition, when Darth Maul

debris during the jedi vs sith battle, look
to the left of him. You can see Obi-Wan walking
slowly and twirling his lightsaber like he
wasn't even fighting the sith. - alli

- We all know that fire burns hair really
fast, right? So why is it you can see Oui-Gon's
beard, hair and eyebrows while he's being

- Towads the end of the movie when Darth Maul
pushes Obi-Wan you see Darth Maul's lightsaber
in his right hand but when he force pushes
he uses his right hand and there is no lightsaber. In
the next scene the lightsaber is back in his
right hand. (VHS) - DBZFan
- Towads the beginning of the movie the viceroy
pops up on a hologram and says, "Destroy
what's left of them." If you look at
the droid and the left of the screen in front
after the viceroy says that you will notice
that the droids hand on the gun barrel magicly
goes through the barrel. (VHS) - DBZFan
- During the whole podrace, Anakin is rather
calm as he pilots his racer at incredible
speeds through tight canyons. But when Qui
Gon lifts him into his racer before the race,
Anakin says, "Whoa!" I guess being
lifted three feet is scarier than flying at
Mach 12! (DVD) - Sam
- When Jar Jar is Talking to the Droids just
before they go outside to repair you will
notice there are 2 blue and 1 red, as you
see the 2 R2 units leave their holdings they
are RED ? Then as they go up the shute they
are blue ??? - The

- Now this is a goof. When Qui-Gon Jinn melt
the blast door with his lightsaber onboard
the Trade Federation Ship while his Padawan
Obi-Wan Kenobi covers him... Don't everyone
think that the temperature increase from the
molten metal would be VERY hot? Just look
at Qui-Gon Jinn's hand when he is melting
the blast door... don't you guys think that
his hand is a lil bit too close to the melting?

- In the scene where they are meeting with
the queen on the ship (the part where she
tells the maiden to clean up R2-D2) when the
queen calls up Qui-Gon, he waits for a second.

to think for a second. - Strangebrain
- In Theed when Qui-Gon follows the queen
his lightsaber is green and in the next scene
it's yellow and back to green. - jedi
- In the beginning, you can see Obi-Wan has
no braid in his hair and is tied into a small
ponytail. When the droid serves the water,
Obi's ponytail is gone. When they fight the
droids, it reappears. (VHS) - Skorpyo01
- Also, when Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan jump down
from the shaft, Obi's famous braid is back.
(VHS) - Skorpyo01
- This ones hard to catch. After Qui-gon is
stabbed by Darth Maul, Obi Wan fights him
alone. Wait until you see Darth Maul swing
his saber over Obi-Wan's head, who then ducks.
Listen, and you'll hear their sabers make
contact 4 times. It looks like they hit 4
times too. But if you look very carefully,
their sabers only made contact 3 times! it
happens so fast, its hard to catch. I saw
this goof when I was watching their fight
in freeze frame slow motion. It's easier to
see it that way, too. - jedi

Everybody and their mother has seen the movie

- Comment: Well
from what I understand a jedi will only
disappear after death only if he has accomplished
his lives mission example Obi-Wan found
and if you don't mind the pun a new hope
{Luke} his life mission could of been
find the one person who can stop the empire.
Yoda's mission could of been train this
person if that's the case. Qui-Gon didn't
complete his mission there for didn't
vanish. - ash

If Any one has ever actually studied

the jedi only disappear if they choose
to do so by releasing their soul to

warships or thinks up their strategy? In every
Star Wars movie, it seems one lucky shot is
capable of destroying an entire ship, ships,
I might add, that are the size of Manhattan.
Even a modern battleship needs a good pounding

of the enemy forces on Naboo could be transferred
to another ship if need be. I expected better.

soon we forget. The HMS Hood (a good guy's
ship) was sank with one shell from the
Bismark (a bad guy's ship) when the shell
exploded in the Hood's powder magazine
and sank as fast as Droid Army Control
Ship took to fall aprart. The USS Arizona
sank where it was berthed when one lucky
armor piercing bomb hit its mark and exploded
in the ship's powder magazine. The USS
Indianapolis sank after it was hit by
just one Japanese torpedo. There may have
been countless other "lucky shots"
that have occurred dunring the past several
hundred years of warfare, so it is conceivable
despite how well a craft may have been
designed that one "lucky shot"
could destroy it. The attacks on the Death
Stars were planned based on intelligence
recieved from the rebel spy network. Skill
and planning was involved not luck. Annakin's
shot was a lucky shot. - Ben-O-53

- I somewhat object to the re-use of Tatooine
as a location for the events in the films.
We learned in the first series (4-6) that
Obi-Wan 'hid' Luke from his father, Vader,
on Tatooine. Now in Episode One, we learn
that Tatooine is Vader's native planet! Isn't
it a bit stupid of Obi-Wan to hide Luke from
Vader on Vader's native planet??!! - MarkD
- Comment: Not
necessarily. Tattooine was the home planet
of ANAKIN, not Vader. Before becoming
Darth Vader, Anakin had undergone a total
mental and spiritual conversion (and to
a great extent, a physical one as well,
since Vader's body depends on machinery
to survive). This was such a conversion,
in fact that when Luke lets himself get
captured on Endor to get close to Vader
(qv: EP6), Vader bluntly informs Luke
that "that name (Anakin Skywalker)
no longer has any meaning for me".
Now...perhaps Vader didn't remember much
of his past life (as Luke stated him when
he replied, "it is the name of your
true self; you've only forgotten").
On the other hand, it's entirely possible
that Vader didn't WANT to remember his
past (with the trauma he'd have gone through,
during his fall to the Dark Side, it's
certainly understandable). In either case,
hiding Luke to grow up on Tattooine may
not have been as stupid as it'd seem on
the surface; perhaps "Old Ben"
deserves more credit than that. - Ycekhold

be added later. - queeneve

- In Ep.I young Anakin not only builds his
own pod racer, but is the only human who can
race it. He also claims and apparently fixes
Qui Gon's Naboo fighter when it's standed
on Tatooine. Then, when hiding in the cockpit
of a Naboo fighter in the final scenes, he
acts confused..."what does this button
do?"...and seems to win the day by mere
luck (which Obi-Wan dismisses in Star Wars: A New Hope) by toggling different switches.
If he were such the child genius he should
have adapted to the Naboo fighter, the same
type that he fixed a few scenes earlier, and
flown it with the agility of a pilot that
he is recognized as being. - mistermyxleplyx
- Correction:
First, Qui-Gon did not have a fighter,
it was Princess Amidala's ship. Second,
Anakin had absolutely NOTHING to do with
fixing the ship. He didn't even see the
ship until they were leaving. Just because
he fixes things does not necessarily mean
he can assertain exactly how something
works by simply osmosis, or how ever mistermyxleplyx
thinks "genius'" should. When

note his different headdress, voice, and

bodies is on the droid control ship at
the time of its destruction. Also, you
clearly see the viceroy and his other
associate in the throne room right before
Queen Amidala says "Now viceroy we

they were in guilt knowing that they had

- There is an argument that Obi-Wan refers
to Yoda as his trainer in Empire Strikes Back,
yet is seen being trained by Qui-Gon in Phantom
Menace. There are two movies left and Qui-Gon
is gone; Yoda is seen counciling the *novice*
jedi, Obi-Wan in the last scenes of Ep.I.
Also, in the first scene, Obi-Wan makes a
reference to Yoda's teachings with,"...but
master Yoda said to always be aware of the
future" or something to that extent.
Anyway, Yoda's prowess and throne in the hierarchy
of the Jedi Council is well established. I
believe that the question of Obi-Wan's training
remains to be seen and people should not be
so quick to judge/condem such a fun movie.

his tribe was a "warrior race".
So why didn't they overrun and conquer the

That is true, but that has nothing to

received supplies through trade with the
Naboo that made sure they survived. The
same with the Naboos, they lived off eachother.
Hello. - Kendall
- Explanation:
Hey -ThatJerryguy- and -kindall-
The answer to why the gungans don't
overrun the Naboo is because, the
Gungans don't like to come to the

keep the tension off their back, and
they have had their conflicts in the
past. Especially when the Naboo first
arrived on the planet as colonists
from their real home world. - Jedi_Master

I don't have to try very hard to prove

when Vader freezes Han in the carbonite

has said that the issue of Vader not
recognizing C-3PO will be addressed
in the prequel trilogy. I think the
simplest answer is that C-3PO goes
through a number of changes (we don't
know yet what he'll look like the
last time Anakin/Vader sees him in
Episodes II and III) and/or protocol
droids don't look all that different
from each other. C-3PO encouters a
look-alike in Cloud City (the one

responds "how rude!"), not
to mention the droid that escorts

it seem strange that in Episode 4 C-3PO doesn't

- Rick
- Correction:
With regards to C-3PO not remembering
the skywalkers, first of all he is a robot,
his memory can be erased. In fact Luke's
uncle Owen planned to do this to him.
He did also mention that his last master

had his memory flushed already. And please
don't ask how he mantained being a protocol

flushed him. - Jon

of all, the idea of recognizing own droid

perhaps MILLIONS of droids with the same

it is still not possible to recognise
droids. C-3PO is a just a protocol droid.
