- Death Wish 3 is a movie mistake lover's
dream. It probably has the most mistakes I've
seen in a big budget studio film (o.k. the
budget isn't that big). I promise after I
see this awfully made, camp masterpiece again
there will be more!
- In one scene, Charles Bronson shoots a thug
who then hits a wall and blood smears from
his back on to the wall. The only problem
is that when he turns there is no bullet wound
on his back.
- In another scene an old lady says, "Get
outta' my face!" to a thug, but her mouth
doesn't move!
- Everyone in the film except Charles Bronson
wears the same clothes throughout the entire
film.
- When Bronson and the police chief are shooting
at the baddies, the shadow of the camera is
clearly visible.
- When Bronson throws the African-American
hood off of the roof, it is clearly a dummy,
and the next day it is in a completely different
position then when it landed.
- When an old lady is on fire, you can clearly
see this is a stuntman with a bad wig, and
flame retardant goo is covering his face.
- In one scene, when Bronson is firing his
gun by a brick wall, you can clearly see bullet
holes in the wall appear and disappear.
- Bronson's friend carries around a zip gun
throughout the entire last half of the film,
but why doesn't he pick up one of the gang-members'
guns? They would be a lot more efficient.
- One of the gang-members gets hit in the
face with one of Bronson's "home-alone"-type
traps. In this scene his two front teeth get
stuck in the board, but in order for this
to happen he would have to have no jaw, and
have his head looking straight up, and even
then it would still be impossible.
- In one scene it changes from raining, to
not raining, to raining, so on and so forth.
- Bronson would have been dead after firing
a bazooka in such close range.
- Addition:
Yes, he would have died or got badly burned.
He sits next to a wall and fires, when
in real life you need at least 3-5 meters
of empty space behind you when firing
a bazooka.
- How does a 60 to 70 year old man carry around
and fire a high-caliber machine gun that is
meant for mounted use only? The kick alone
would probably give old Charlie a heart attack!
- Bronson gives a kid an ice cream bar inside
of a store. But, he gives it while in the
store, not after, therefore the kid is stuck
with the cost for the ice cream.
- The old man tells Bronson that the gang
leader does all of his crimes in private,
but later the leader is seen participating
in an axe murder in public!
- In one hilariously edited scene, the bad
guy (with a wonderfully bad reverse mohawk)
mows down a group of police officers with
an uzi. Then the scene cuts to an old good
guy looking out of his window smiling! This
isn't a mistake, but the body count in this
movie is over 75 people! That is an awful
lot for a film about one man's revenge against
a couple of gangsters who killed his friend.
Actually now that I think of it I'll count
that as a mistake.
- In one scene ---- is in a car that then
hits another car and explodes. If you look,
you can see that her car would hit the back
of the other car, but when the angle changes
it hits the front of it.
- When Bronson's old friend is thrown down
a flight of stairs, he is obviously replaced
by a stuntman.
- In one scene, gang members are smashing
the windows of cars. If you look, you can
see that one window is up then suddenly down,
and then up again.
- In one scene, bikers are throwing hand grenades
at a building, but if you look you can see
that one of the grenades bounces back under
their bikes but does not explode.
- Bronson's old guy friend pulls out a machine
gun to fire at the crooks. If you look the
bullets are going into his gun and out the
other. The bullets going in are real and facing
forward, but the ones coming out are backwards
(!) shorter than the other bullets and are
obviously made of rubber (!)
- This same old guy then hits a gang member
in the face, but if you look he can barely
hold the gun, and he swings really slow, but
the gang member still acts like he's been
hit really hard.

(all above)
- I was lucky enough to catch this no-brainer
movie on TV and caught the following goofs:
In the scene where Paul Kersey (Charlie Bronson)
is talking to his old friend Bennett (Martin
Balsam), the newspapers beside Bennett on
the couch are all messy and his hat lies on
top of them. Now, 2 shots (a few seconds)
later the newspapers are neatly folded and
the hat lies next to them. Bennett doesn't
move during the shot changes. (TV) - Webmaster
- Bennett's jacket has a zipper, which is
usually zipped up to the middle part of his
body. The zipper seems to have a life of its
own as it changes heights continuously in
various shots. (TV) - Webmaster
- When Paul decides it's time for bigger caliber,
he gets in a cab, which has a dented back
door. He proceeds to pick up a machine gun
and gets back into the dented cab. But, when
he gets off the cab at his apartment the dent
is gone, the cab is shining and lacks a few
other details the original cab had. (TV) -

- When firing the machine gun at various silly-looking
punks Paul is holding the barrel of it, which
to my knowledge, gets burning hot after a
short while. He would have burned his hand
badly. (TV) - Webmaster
- A tiny goof - When Paul and his police pal
are on a kill-crazy-rampage, Paul blasts away
a gang member in a blue jeans jacket. The
scene is shot from behind the gangster. As
he gets shot the bullet penetrates though
his body, coming out of his back. As it does
so, one drop of blood hits the camera lens
in the upper right corner. *Splat*. It is
visible for half-a-second or so. I had to
freeze the frame to actually see that it was
a blood stain. (TV) - Webmaster
