• If you look very very carefully at the very end of the film when Heather and Michael are looking for Josh, just before they go into the house, Heather is filming and has Michael on the camera, but somebody wearing white tracksuit bottoms is standing at the side... - Da King

• If they had any knowledge about hiking in the deep woods, they would have known if you get lost you follow the direction of water. - Lisa

• Why didn't they bring spray paint or something along with them to mark their trail? And before anyone else says it, I know that if either of these things happened that there would not have been a movie, I just couldn't help pointing this stuff out. - Lisa

• At the end when Mike and Heather find the house Mike has the black and white camera. And Heather has the colored. And then when Mike is in the house he has the colored camera and Heather has the black and white. - Da King

• When Heather is talking during the first day it shows her talking and then the camera looks around and we see her sitting setting up the tent or tying her shoe. And her lips aren't moving. Its not really a goof just bad editing. - Da King
  • Explanation: Da king, the lips not matching audio isn't bad editing. If you remember they had cameras and audio equipment and since this movie was suppose to be real (load of crap by the way) they made it where it was like the audio was restored but a segment of film wasn't. I hope you understand what I'm saying cause I just confused my self with the explanation. - ash

• A lot of events that happened in the movie were never explained: The blue goo on Josh's stuff, The bizzare symbols hanging all in the trees. - HorrorMovies

• Wasn't Heather bringing a "How to Survive in the Woods" book? This was only seen in the beginning and was never ever mentioned again. - HorrorMovies

• In the middle of movie when Josh disappeared, and Heather found in front of tent bunch of woods which was tied up with Josh's checkered shirt, but in the end of movie, in police chronicle, where they show car, in the back of car you can see the same Josh's shirt. - KornChild

• In the scene where Heather finds a piece of Josh's shirt with what looks like teeth in it she decides not to tell Michael, but who is filming her looking at the thing?!? - tigger
  • Comment: Actually, you'll notice that Heather's got a purple sling that she wears in some - or most - points during the movie - it's implied that she uses it to hold the camera sometimes, though we never actually see it. Just a possibility. - Stray

• I just can't help but think this is a goof- One of the guys says "There's Heather taking a piss", but as heather is female, how did he know what she was doing?

• At one point Heather is arguing with Josh and Michael. It shows all three of them standing there. Wait a minute who's filming? - josh howell

• When Heather is comforting the crying Mike, they are both standing in front of the camera. The third guy has disappeared. The camera skips (cuts). As no one was holding it, how did the camera skip? - Da Mikestar

• At the beginning in the graveyard when Kim is laying on the grave, the the name on the tombstone goes from "Treacle" to "Further". Maybe its supposed to be in there, but I still haven't figured out why. - mbmott21
  • Correction: The reason why it switches to further is because of a thing called "esrever" reverse backwards. There are several different things that are just like it in the movie (the word door hidden in the carpet, a stick man floating in the water during the dream sequence etc...) and there are also some hidden images too. The words and images are supposed to give you some more info about the blair witch mystery. It involves running part of the tape backwards. So it's not really a goof but more like a game, there is more info on the website. - clover

• A friend told me this after I had watched the movie. Apparently I wasn't paying attention. In the scene where the guy opens the door and sees the dogs by the bridge, you see the dogs and hear the "dog alarm" he has. When he closes the door, then opens it again you don't see the dogs but you don't hear the "dog alarm" either. - soul2see

• At the end of the film when the group watch the tapes of themselves putting the tapes into the hiding place near the tree, how does the tape on which they are watching this event get into the burial site if it is being used for taping? (hope this makes sense). - Mymmie
