- The military uses "Empty Quiver'' to
refer to a misplaced nuclear weapon, not "Broken
Arrow''.
- Helicopter rotor blades do not rotate freely
even when the engine is off, and hence could
not be spun with a kick.
- Obvious physics problems with the momentum
of the bomb that impales Deakins.
- The electromagnetic pulse from a nuclear
blast travels at the speed of light, and hence
should have arrived at the helicopter before
the shock wave.
- Parachuting out of a disabled plane is not
a crime, even if you do land in a national
park.
- Hale shoots at the pilot in the gunship
and the bullet penetrates and breaks the lower
glass window and kills the pilot. Later on
the gunship's window is unbroken as it crashes.
- The parachutes on the nuclear missiles change
from white to black.
- When Deakins sets the bomb for 13 minutes,
he smashes the keypad to bits. At the moment
of detonation, the keypad shown is undamaged.
- The bomb countdown changes from 23 minutes
to 26 minutes.
- In the B3's cockpit, the graphic showing
the position of the weapons loader has the
nukes one slot apart; in cuts to the cargo
bay, they are physically positioned right
next to each other on the rotating rack.
- When the truck carrying Deakins tries to
push the other truck off the street, the mudguard
and headlight on the right side get damaged,
yet are merely burnt in later scenes.
- The helicopter shoots at the truck from
the side, yet bullet holes can be seen later
that enter the front and leave the back.
- 24:00 can be seen after 23:00 in the countdown
sequence.
- The desert was broken up after a nuclear
blast, and yet appeared in perfect shape when
the HMMV drove off.
- Terry's clothes and hair are dry and tidy
after her swim in the river.
- Terry removes her jacket and jumps off the
burning train, but is soon wearing her jacket
again.
- Boxes on the train car are shown engulfed
in flames and burning, then are undamaged
as soon as the fire dies down.
- Deakins' facial and shoulder wounds heal
as he fights with Hale.
- Adrian
J (all above)
- In the movie the pilots push a button which
put the plane into "stealth mode",
there is no such thing. A plane is stealthy
because of its shape. This means you can't
turn stealth on and off. - Wakt
Hendy
- Comment: In
the planes cockpit the button for stealth
is for reducing the engines heat signature
and noise levels much in the way a sub
runs silent therefore making it more stealthy.
- frost
- The handgun Travolta uses on the train is
a beretta 93r machine pistol which has either
a single or three shot burst, but he fires
it in fully automatic. - frost
