  Signs (2002)

Silence of the Lambs, The (1991)

  • A forensics expert's opinion of the autopsy scene: over 8 errors were made: the body was fingerprinted without collecting evidence under the victims fingernails, and the ink would have destroyed the evidence. You can not get fingerprints off a body if it is in that condition. The coroner was not there, but they continued to investigate the body. For doing this they would have lost their jobs and possibly faced criminal charges.
  • When Clarice Starling goes into the first girl's room, her father says that the room has been left the way it was when she died. But, there's a Debbie Harry "Def, Dumb & Blonde" poster on the wall; that album was released in 1989, 3 years (?) after the girl died.
  • At the end of the movie where Clarice is in the house, someone puts on night vision goggles and then the camera switches to his viewpoint. If it was really pitch dark in the room, why does Clarice cast a shadow on the wall? - mbmott21
    • Correction: Night vision goggles project infrared light that is invisible to the naked eye. Just like visible light it can't bend around objects, and therefore casts shadows. If you were to look at your TV remote with nightvision goggles, it would look like you were holding a flashlight! - Sam
      • Comment: Actually, night vision goggles, when used on the normal setting, use ambient light. They can use infrared light, but you usually don't need to use this setting because there is almost always enough ambient light. - me

  • At the end of the movie when Agent Starling is talking to her boss (who is flying on the plane) he says he is going to Calumet City, Illinois (just south of Chicago) and is "45 minutes away". The next cut shows the plane descending for a landing with high desert mountains in the background, clearly in Southern California somewhere. (VHS) - Matt

  Silverado (1985)
  • Near the close of this western tale, there's a showdown taking place at "high-noon" on the main street of town. Pay close attention to the shadows of the men facing off with each other. At one point, they cast no shadows because the sun is right overhead, the next scene has one of the men casting a very long shadow, because the scene was shot at a different time, and not at "high noon." - Kieth Moreland

Silver Bullet (1985)    Buy this movie - Buy Posters
  • After Jane has finished collecting empty soda cans and bottles, she adds them to the pile in Reverend Lowe's garage. Although the movie takes place in 1976, some of the empty containers in the pile are Diet Coke cans; Diet Coke wasn't on the market until the early 1980s. - Michael R.

  • When Michelle's character is going to Henri's Department store to replace her plates she knocks over a display that has just been arranged by a young man. After that Sean & Michelle both get into the elevator and go to the 4th floor. After purchasing the plates Michelle is about to leave and Sean offers to see her out. They walk past the same young man who has restored the display and enter the elevator to go down to the main floor. The young man and the display were on the main floor when she entered the store. - Bob

Sister Act (1992)    Buy this movie
  • When Deloris (Whoopi) gets to the police station, she tells the officers that she heard Vincent tell Earnie to say goodnight, and then Joey shoots Earnie. However, before she opens the door, Vincent has already said "Say goodnight Earnie!" Then, when she opens the door, the gun goes off seconds later. Nobody was talking as she opened the door. I love the movie, but the mistake wouldn't stand in court. (VHS) - Basia15

  • When the family piles into the car the grandma doesn't get in, she just ducks down. You can see her in the front passenger window and in the windshield. - terd ferguson
  • When Long Duck Dong is drunk on the ground in front of the house, he is wearing a white T-shirt. Out of nowhere, in the next cut, his T-shirt is ripped in the front. - Mike D
  • When Long Duck Dong is dancing with Molly Ringwald, He blows his nose leaving snot on his face. Not a pretty sight on the big screen, believe me! - littlenemo
    • Comment: When did Long Duck Dong dance with Molly Ringwald???? I think you mean that big girl he picked up at the dance! - Red
  • In the scene where Sam (Ringwald) is trying to hint to her mother about her birthday in the kitchen/dinning room, her little brother is sitting at the table with a walkman. If you look in the shot before Sam walks in, you'll notice that her little brother has a cigarette in his hand which he puffs (you can see the smoke), and in the next shot, it just disappears. - Mike D.
    • Comment: When the little brother is at the table he doesn't have a cigarette it is a staight pretzel, acting like he is smoking. - lynelvis
  • When the family is getting in their vehicles to go the the church. The Grandmother with dark hair never gets in the vehicle. There was no room for everybody, she just ducks down. Then when they stop the vehicle to see Dong on the lawn she pops up. - jenna

NOT!! - gomurr
  • Arnold and his clone are jumping from a roof to the bottom of a remote controlled helicopter, the clone jumps first and Arnold grabs his legs, but if you slow up the next frame, just after Arnold jumps, they have them reversed. - Kat

Skulls, The (2000)    Buy this movie
  • When the 2 new Skulls drop the serpent weather vane from the tower into the water, you can see that the vane clearly bounces on the water and floats. It's supposed to be metal and therefore heavy. - prootski
    • Comment: It's possible that the water was shallow and that the weathervane appeared to bounce and float, but actually bounced and then remained within shallow water. - Allan

Slap Shot (1977)    Buy this movie
  • When Reg is skating towards from his end of the rink to the opposing team's it seems he takes a shot but the subsequent scene he is back behind his goaltender! - tsb27

Sleepless in Seattle (1993)    Buy this movie

Tom Hanks as Sam Baldwin

  • Sam Baldwin tells his son that Duluth is in South-Dakota, even though it in fact is in Minnesota.
    • Correction: Actually, Duluth in South Dakota is a joke in the movie because earlier Walter says to Annie that Duluth is in South Dakota.
  • In the scene where Meg Ryan and Rosie O'Donnell are watching "An Affair To Remember" and Meg is typing the letter to Tom Hanks, there is a bottle of Snapple on the table that moves from shot to shot. It doesn't remain in the same spot when the camera moves from Meg to Rosie back to Meg. (VHS) - evabo

  Sliding Doors (1998)
  • When Gwyneth Paltrow is in the boat with John Hannah, look at her hair. It goes constantly from forward to back behind her ears, then over her forehead again, then back behind her ears. It is very noticeable. No-one could miss it. - Ratsack

  Smokey and the Bandit (1977)

Smokey and the Bandit III (1983)    Buy this movie
  • When Sheriff Justice jumps through the milk truck, his cars siren falls off. In the next shot its back on. - Brett

  Snatch (2001)
  • In the scene where one character is drinking chocolate milk (and extolling the virtues of such) while driving in a truck and throws the carton out of the window, the carton smashes on the hood of a car spilling milk without the chocolate...(white milk) (Is that possible according to the laws of physics? ). Sorry that I cant give you character names because I only saw the film once. - RosieBee
    • Correction: He is not drinking chocolate milkshake, it says on the carton "full fat milk" and I guess the brown spots on the carton are supposed to be like a cows markings. - jeff
  • A scene where Brad Pitt is approaching Tommy his dog jumps up on him for no particular reason. - bury
    • Why would the dog need a reason to jump? Dogs can be unpredictable.
  • When Boris is talking on the phone to his brother in the beginning of the movie, he says a few things in Russian. The subtitles read "it's ok. it's only a couple of guys" when he actually says "I understand." also twice towards the end of the movie, the closed captions say that he's muttering in Russian. In truth, he's not muttering any real words, just gibberish with a Russian accent. - Jane
  • In the pawn shop when Boris comes to pick up the diamond. When the other gentlemen walk back in, Boris pulls out his gun. Then when they close the case in the background you can see Boris pull out his gun once again. - Bronzewood
  • When Bullet Tooth Tony and cousin Avi have just crashed with Boris in the boot Tony cuts his head, they then go straight from there to the pub as both look exactly the same and Avi hasn't cleaned up hence going to the toilet, however Tony magically now has a plaster on his cut for some reason. (VHS) - cris
  • When they are in the caravan and .... asks " why is your skin leaking ......." the bloke is clearly not sweating as the next shot is on his face and it's not shiny at all as u would expect from sweat. (VHS) - cris
  • I still don't understand wholly how the whole Boris in the car boot scene happens if Tony is taking him away from the house, the two guys are going toward it yet the milk hits the car as if it were following them but they were going away and the two in the land rover towards. someone explain, diagram if possible. (VHS) - cris
    • Explanation: Tommy throws the milk out of his window into the opposing lane of traffic. Tony was driving in that other lane when the milk hit his car. (DVD) - Sam

  Snow Day (2000)
  • At the beginning when the girl is dreaming or something, it is snowing right? And in her dream she runs outside and the snowflakes fall on her, and on her tongue! Isn't it suppose to melt? Well, it did not! - ~meh~
  • In the beginning of the movie when the guy falls into the pool he seems to hold his breath for a really long time. - bubbles
  • The outfit Hal is wearing when he is at the skating ring is the same outfit his friend has on the poster. Explain that? - Kat

Snow White (1937)    Buy this movie
  • Humor: When all the dwarfs are the edge of Snow's bed, Dopey cant get in, so when he jumps in the middle of two of them he ends up humping Grumpy!!!! - Road Dogg
  • Humor: When the dwarfs try to get grumpy in the bath Dopey gets thrown back wards and lands on Doc in a "Funny" way! - Road Dogg

  Soldier (1998)
  • A revolver is aimed at Sgt. Todd. The bullet hits him full-frontal in the absolute dead-center of his forehead and leaves a circular hole about the diameter of your little finger. In all subsequent scenes the bullet-wound is shown as having 'migrated' about an inch-and-a-half north-west toward the hairline until it only a tiny flesh wound or graze. It soon heals completely. - Soma
    • Correction: They did not shoot Todd, they shot another guy. - me

  Some Like It Hot (1959)
  • If you pay close attention at the scenes where Marilyn is wearing the silver beaded dress, at times the back of the dress has a strap and others times it does not. When she is about to get into the yacht with Tony Curtis before she enters the cabin you can see the back of the dress firmly held together by a cross strap, the next scene when the are in the cabin the strap is gone and the back of the dress is flapping around. (DVD) - Drew305

  Somewhere in Time (1980)
  • Christopher Reeves is supposed to be back in 1917 or so, but on the porch of the Grand Hotel on Macinac Island, 50-star us flags are flying. (VHS) - John Taylor

  Sorority Boys (2002)
  • When the dude drives by and tells Adam he has a fat ass he throws a rock at the car and the car swirves before the rock hits the car. (Theatre) - jobob

  Soul Survivors (2001)
  • Towards the end when Cassie and Matt go to the club to get Annabel in you look in the background you can see a car on fire. And then when Cassie comes back out it is still on fire. What's up with that? Why wouldn't the fire department come and put out the fire? What if there was someone in the vehicle? (DVD) - Kim

  Sound of Music, The (1965)
  • When Liesl and Rolf are having their tryst at the gazebo, a type of street lamp is visible in the background (actually, it resembles one of those backstage lamps that you see behind the scenes in theatres and on movie sets). Later in the film, when the Captain and Maria are having their own love fest at same gazebo, the lamp is no longer there. - RJ
  • In the row boat scene when Maria and the children stand up to greet the Captain, the boat begins to rock, and they all fall overboard. Maria falls behind the boat, while the children fall in front of it; however, as they rise from the water, Maria emerges in front of the boat along with the rest of the children. - RJ

South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999)
  • In the scene when the kids (Kyle, Stan & Eric) parents are talking to them in the hospital, you can see Kenny's carcus in the background, Kenny's eye pupil changes places (it freaked me out when I noticed it!) - kool moe dee
  • Cartman states that "the animation is crappy" when referring to T and P, yet they are real people, not animated. - The Big J
    • Correction: T and P aren't real people, they are ANIMATED. All of South Park is animated! It is just that way! Just because they're made the same way as Cartman, they aren't real people! - Bart
    • Comment: If Cartman says that the animation is crappy and he believes himself to be real then Big J is correct in saying that they wouldn't be animated. But if he believes himself to be animated then Bart would be correct in stating that all of it was animated. Either way if you notice right after he says that, he and Kyle, Stan and Kenny just kind of walk for a few seconds, it's a joke, as in Cartman is made of crappy animation and he is commenting on it. - recycledsanity
    • Comment: T and P are obviously cartoons in the world of South Park. If you listen to the song "Blame Canada" there is a verse that says something about watching that darn cartoon.
      • If T & P are cartoons, then Kyle's adopted little brother must be a cartoon too, because he looks like T & P and all other Canadians (head in 2 pieces).
  • The news at the start says Saddam Hussein was killed by wild boars, but in an old episode, the Canadian's killed him. - The Big J
  • Chef's apron changes lettering case.

  Spaceballs (1987)
  • When Barf and what's his name are in the Space bar (at the end, I think) when the guys at the end of the table are laughing about a joke and the little alien comes out of one of the guy's stomachs and starts singing and dancing, in the close-up of the alien, you can see the stick/rod/whatever that moves the alien can be seen beneath it. - Eric Peterson
    • Comment: The whole alien looks and moves in a very mechanical way. The rod is so obvious and the little door(s) at the end of the bar swing open in such a woody way it looks like it's supposed to be a gag by itself. - [Blunt K12]
  • At the part where Lord Dark Helmet is looking at the radar, he says something to the effect of ''the princess' shuttle is headed straight for us!'' one or two cuts later, it shows the princess's shuttle heading in the opposite direction. - chris64
  • When Lord Helmet is in his hover craft with the binoculars searching for the princess in the desert you can see the mirror used to create the "hovering" appearance (it's either to the side or on the bottom of the craft). (VHS) - Kay D
  • In the schwartch battle scene between Big Helmet and Lonestar. Lonestar looses his ring in the vent after helmet dropped it into there. But when they are escaping the ship look closely at Lonestar piloting you can see the ring is still on. I guess Lonestar was able to open the vent, find the ring and escape in less then 3 minutes. Either that or he didn't loose the ring. - Taz

  SpaceCamp (1986)     Buy this movie
  • When the two campers disappear to the beach to view the shuttle, the antenna on the Jeep changes back and forth from secured to free-whipping several times during the scene. - Scott

  Space Cowboys (2000)
  • In the scene where they are training or they are in space, I don't know where it was, I forgot. Anyhow, they guy that needs glasses to see things, doesn't have them on! Well if you can't see without them what's he doing not wearing them!?!?!? - wouldn't you want to know
  • One of the times when Eastwood's character enters IKON, the exposed hand and head of a crew member (movie crew, not shuttle crew) is clearly visible through a large gap in the set just below Eastwood. I assume that this person was there to support whatever rig was in place to make Eastwood appear weightless, but he ended up on screen. (HBO) - DixonHill

  Space Jam (1996)
  • In the final basket ball game between the tune squad and the monsters, look at the cartoon audience who watches the game. Every single member of that audience are merely repeating the same movements over and over and over again! This doesn't happen in close ups of the audience though. - steelflesh

  Space Truckers (1997)
  • Near the beginning of the movie Dennis Hoppers character as supposed to deliver a load of hogs to a bar. Since he was 2 days late and wouldn't accept a smaller amount of money, one of the owners goons tried to hit him but missed. He made the comment "That's not how you punch in zero gravity." then hit him. You can see the wires that are holding the guy when he flips through the air. (VHS/HBO) - yeah

  Spanish Prisoner, The (1997)
  • (Factual errors) Early in the movie, they have flown to an island in the Caribbean. After changing some travelers' checks, the main character pays the taxi driver from his wad of cash. The bill on top that he uses is a green, 500 peso note from La Republica Argentina. This was actual currency from Argentina in the late '70s-early '80s. Argentina is nowhere near the Caribbean. (DVD) - rlkarren

  Spartacus (1960)    Buy this movie
  • While taking place in the time between ca 800 BC - 500 AC, some Romans are running around in sneakers and some are wearing wrist watches.
  • A truck can be seen driving along the hills behind a battle scene.
  • Spartacus leads the revolt of the slaves in this 1960 epic, During the initial breakout of the Gladiatorial training school an armed guard is stabbed on a balcony or papapet and falls to the arena below. He clearly gets up and walks into the doorway adjacent to where he had fallen, apparently satisfied that his part was completed. Still a great flick. - pat A
  • A classic movie, but replete with silly goofs. In the scene when Spartacus is detailing on a map how he intends to invade Rome, he is reading the cities on the map of Rome. In the scene immediately prior to that, we learned he cannot read. How did he learn so quickly ? - jodeerules
  • In the scene where the slaves roll down the hill a flaming ball of something, we see it strike several roman soldiers. Look closely and you will see they are actually stuntmen dressed in asbestos suits. - jodeerules

Specialist, The (1994)    Buy this movie
  • When Sharon Stone's character is a little girl Eric Roberts character is a grown man. When Sharon Stone's character grows up into a woman, Eric Roberts haven't aged one bit. - steel flesh

  Species (1995)    Buy this movie
  • When Sil gets out of the club with the guy in the BMW the car is ok. But in a later shot the BMW has a huge scrape and bumps on the left side. Weird. - fredde
  • When Sil is in the apartment with the BMW guy. Just after he snaps his fingers you can se a reflection of the guy holding the microphone in the air on the windowed door. Weird. Oops. - fredde
  • In the final battle when Sil is a monster and rushing towards the camera you can se that (dvd) half of her body disappears as she is at closest to the camera. 486 processing power I think. - fredde
  • I noticed in the beginning when the "species" child is in her observation room, the camera does a close-up into her eyes and you can clearly see her contacts. Since she is suppose to possess incredible physical strengths, etc., it bothers me that they didn't edit it out. Just a minor inconsistency. - Jacquelyn

  Speed (1994)    Buy this movie

Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997)    Buy this movie

  Spice World (1998)
  • In the final "live" performance, when the song ends and the girls stand frozen on the stage, Victoria (Posh Spice), keeps changing her "frozen" position as we view different camera angles of the stage. - Erika Philpot
  • When Baby Spice is licking her lollipop it goes in her mouth red and out green I think. Well anyways it changes color. - Taylor
    • Correction: Actually, Baby Spice is sucking on a chupa chup, some have two different colours on them. The one you saw was choc/vanilla, one side is brown, one side is white. - nikki
  • During the chase scene on the bus, they're going to jump the tower bridge while it goes up. While on the bridge, Posh Spice (Victoria) says, 'hold on to your knickers girls', clearly outside the window there are trees. I went to the tower bridge, there are no trees on it. (VHS) - Saralo
  • Durring the dance camp sequence, they're walking out to the obstical course. You can see 5 tires in front of each girl. when they start zooming in on the coach, there are only 2 or 3 in front of each girl, then 5 pop up back in front of them. (VHS) - Saralo

  Spider-Man (2002)

  Spy Game (2001)
  • (Soiler) I think we have a problem with time frame at the end of the movie. The final meeting at CIA headquarters in Langley, VA, takes place at 7:30 a.m. Meanwhile on the other side of the world, Brad Pitt is being busted out of a Chinese prison, at night, by a SEAL team. As Redford gets in his car to drive home, it's still early to late morning on the U.S. east coast. At the same moment, the sun is rising in China. I don't think that's possible! (DVD) - Kieth Moreland
  • (Soiler) We have no further information on the fate of the two Chinese medical personnel, nor on the ambulance crew that helped Pitt get into the prison, or on his attempt to get out with the woman. I consider that a loose end that would have been tied up....in a better movie! (DVD) - Kieth Moreland
  • In the scenes that take place in Beirut Brad Pitt is shown wearing a San Diego Padres cap with the initials "SD" on them. These scenes are supposed to take place in the early 1980's. The cap worn by Pitt was not worn by the Padres until the late 1990's. The 1980's cap featured a fat padre swinging a bat. (DVD) - Hizam5
  • In the scene when arm pit ops I mean Brad Pitt is in Lebanon set in the 80's, they play an Arabic song that was released only a few months ago by an Arabic female artist called Pascal Mishaalani, she wasn't even born in the 80' yet!!! And the Arab men were speaking with a northern African Arabic accent not Lebanese!!! For the love of God, why don't the pay attention to these little things!?!?!?! (Theatre) - Dob1968

Spy Who Loved Me, The (1977)    Buy this movie
  • In this movie James Bond has a Lotus-car that is transformed into a submarine when he lets it dive into the sea. That is impossible, because the car would float if it was filled with air as shown in the movie. The real reason why the car has protective screens that covers the windows when it is submerged, is that it is actually filled with water and the crew are wearing diving-gears. (Of course it's not the real Lotus, but just a hull with electric motors and control-surfaces). And how did the fish get into the car? - Olav Westerman
  • In XXX's room, near the beginning of the movie, her music box plays the theme of Dr. Zhivago (did I spell it right?) whenever Gen. Gogol calls her. But this movie was banned from the Soviet Union at the time, so it's very unlikely that a KGB agent would have it! - Bob
  • Near to the beginning, where the bad guy blows up a helicopter over the sea, the helicopter explodes, crashes into the sea, but there are no big ripples where it makes contact with the water !?! - Orin Boyd
